Secret new life of Charlie Kirk suspect’s trans lover is revealed as he breaks silence from suburban Southern hideout

The transgender lover of Charlie Kirk’s alleged killer has finally emerged from hiding five months after the political assassination that stunned the world.

Lance Twiggs vanished overnight after his live-in boyfriend, Tyler Robinson, was unmasked as the gunman accused of shooting Kirk in the neck as he debated trans issues at Utah Valley University in Orem.

Reclusive 22‑year‑old Twiggs – whom authorities refer to with male pronouns – has never been charged or implicated in the September 10 shooting.

But his abrupt disappearance from their apartment in St George, Utah, fueled fevered speculation over what, if anything, Twiggs knew in advance of Robinson’s alleged plot to snuff out one of the nation’s leading conservative voices.

Now, the Daily Mail can reveal how the pasty loner is quietly rebuilding his life hundreds of miles away after reconciling with his strict Mormon family and relocating with them to Texas.

Sources say he spends his days gaming online and reading fantasy novels, occasionally venturing out to grab takeout or run errands for his parents, Tyler and Amy.

Exclusive Daily Mail images show Twiggs carrying clothes, sneakers and a stack of books into his new four-bed digs in an unassuming suburban neighborhood.

His androgynous, shoulder-length hair is paired with a baseball cap, blouson jacket, jeans and a retro Taco Bell T-shirt, giving him a grungy, hipster look.

When the Daily Mail caught up with Twiggs at a nearby gas station, he scowled at our reporter and then refused to answer questions about his links to 22-year-old Robinson, who could face death by firing squad.

We asked him if he had any inkling that his furry fetishist beau was planning to kill Turning Point USA founder Kirk, 31, or if he had any words of comfort for widowed Erika Kirk, 37, and their two children.

‘No, no, no,’ Twiggs repeated nervously. ‘I cannot answer any questions.’

He took a business card before hopping into his beaten-up Infiniti and driving away.

Kirk, a devout Christian and MAGA stalwart, was debating students during his American Comeback tour when he was hit by a single rifle round fired from a nearby rooftop.

Robinson handed himself in a day later after his parents recognized his picture in the news and persuaded their ‘pro-gay and trans-rights orientated’ son to peacefully surrender.

Feds soon discovered that Robinson had sent a flurry of texts to Twiggs during his 33 hours on the run, disclosing his alleged involvement in the shooting and his efforts to evade capture.

The latter did not tip authorities off at the time but he did agree to cooperate when they sought him out in the wake of Robinson’s arrest.

To date, no evidence has been produced to suggest that Twiggs played any part in the assassination or was ever considered a suspect.

He was instead given a security detail and whisked away to a secret location amid death threats and massive media interest, according to Daily Mail sources.

Reporters were especially keen to ask him about a text sent by Robinson that read: ‘Remember how I was engraving bullets?’

It appeared to reference the anti-fascist slogans etched on spent cartridges found with the murder weapon, an antique, bolt-action rifle that belonged to Robinson’s grandfather.

If Twiggs really did witness his left-wing lover carving messages into ammunition ahead of Kirk’s trip to Utah, did he not wonder what he was up to – or consider raising the alarm?

That was another question the Daily Mail put to him during our brief encounter, but he slammed his car door shut without answering.

High school pals remember Twiggs as a shy, acne-ridden teen who excelled in music and earned straight A’s before he became engrossed in video games and Discord chat groups.

The turning point in his life appears to be when Amy and Tyler booted him out for supposedly using drugs and breaching their strict Mormon rules.

Twiggs bounced between his grandparents’ house and the home of Jackie and Nathan Nielsen, whose six children all went to the same high school.

‘When he spoke up and said he didn’t want to go to church, they kicked him out,’ Jackie previously told the Daily Mail.

‘But I did not see any rebellion or disrespect. He was a kid in turmoil.’

Among his closest friends, it was long accepted that Twiggs was gay but his desire to transition into a woman is believed to be a recent development.

‘He was working through some mental health issues,’ Jackie added.

‘After high school, he did some marijuana and mushrooms and did have an occasional drink. But he was still the same kind, caring person.’

Prior to his vanishing act, Twiggs was living in an upscale, three-bedroom townhouse owned by his family on the outskirts of St George, a wealthy desert town near the Nevada border.

College dropout and fellow gaming fanatic Robinson moved in with him around three years ago and the pair became romantically involved.

When the Daily Mail visited the love nest in the wake of Robinson’s arrest, it was obvious from the many lights left on and the pile of unopened mail that the occupants had left in a hurry.

By then, Twiggs had already been questioned and removed to a safe location by the FBI, according to our sources.

Eventually, his security detail was disbanded and Twiggs was welcomed back into the fold by concerned patriarch Tyler, 50, an insurance broker and former hot tub salesman.

Twiggs tried briefly to resume his previous job as a part-time plumber but Tyler was worried his son would be recognized.

He decided to relocate his family to the Lone Star State for a fresh start, buying a new home and moving there in January with plans to launch a property business.

Robinson’s prospects are nothing like as promising, however.

He is behind bars waiting to enter a plea on a slew of charges, including aggravated murder, felony use of a firearm, obstruction of justice and witness tampering.

Utah state prosecutors have indicated they will seek the death penalty.

The Beehive state is one of five that still allows convicted murderers to be executed by firing squad.

ESCAPING INTO FANTASY

He rarely ventures outside and doesn’t appear to have a job.

But Lance Twiggs, 22, at least has plenty of reading material to wade through as he lays low at his new home in Texas.

Exclusive Daily Mail images show the trans lover of Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin, Tyler Robinson, carrying a stack of fantasy novels into his new digs.

Among the titles in his collection are The Way of Kings, Words of Radiance and Oathbringer, the first three instalments of Brandon Sanderson’s bestselling Stormlight Archive.

The hit franchise depicts epic battles between slaves, scholars, immortal knights and shadowy creatures known as Voidbringers, all vying for control of Roshar, a vast planet plagued by storms and super hurricanes.

Words of Radiance and Oathbringer both debuted at number one on The New York Times best seller list and Sanderson has sold more than 50 million books worldwide.

His hugely popular series has already spawned a video game and a board game, and it was reported last month that Apple has secured the rights for a TV adaptation.
