Influencer Lorna Luxe, 43, heartbreakingly reveals her husband John has died aged 64 after long battle with cancer

Lorna Luxe has heartbreakingly announced her husband John Andrews has died aged 64 after a long battle with cancer.

John, who was 21 years Lorna’s senior, battled stage four adrenal cancer after being diagnosed in April 2023. The couple had been married for 16 years. 

The influencer, 43, revealed to her 1.6 million followers last month that John’s cancer had spread and treatment was ‘no longer an option’. 

Announcing his passing on Thursday, Lorna wrote on Instagram: ‘My beautiful, brave John died yesterday. I am heartbroken. 

‘We were together to the very end, at home, in our own bed and holding hands which is exactly what he wanted.

‘The last conversation we had I asked him how he was feeling and he replied “rough but in love” and that was so him, to the point and choosing to put aside his fears to make me feel cherished and loved.

‘John and I were so grateful to the district nurses who came daily to support us and make him comfortable. 

‘Anna was his favourite nurse and the kindness she showed him was beyond, she was a real-life angel. 

‘We couldn’t have had those last few days together at home without that care and my mum who has been with us keeping me strong when I needed to stay strong for John.

‘John you are a class act and I will love you forever.’

Last month, Lorna spoke about the sad realisation that she would become a widow at some point in her 40s following John’s diagnosis. 

She gave an interview in which she admitted the couple racked up £300,000 worth of debt to start up their now very lucrative brand and also opened up about the couple’s decision to not have children together.

The couple had kept followers updated throughout his treatment, after she said they were there for her when John went into remission in November 2023.

But in a tragic turn of events, the former banker’s cancer returned in May 2024 and spread to his brain.

Before Christmas, John was rushed back to hospital with organ failure following a complication with his chemotherapy and fell ill with sepsis.

Lorna was told to ‘prepare for the worst’ in December 2025, but she said at the time that she knew he would recover. The ever-determined John was home in time for Christmas. 

She told Fabulous magazine: ‘It’s been quite scary because we don’t know how long we’ve got… We don’t know how long John is going to feel up for doing things so we’re running at a million miles an hour at the minute. We know we’re on a timeline.’

Lorna and John had been treating themselves to nice experiences to make the most of the time they have together, and said they were taking each day as it comes. 

‘I don’t make long-term plans,’ she said. ‘Fundamentally, I’m probably going to be a widow at some point in my 40s and that’s a bit of a scary place to be for any woman.’

After John’s last stint in hospital, he told Lorna they needed to get their ‘ducks in a row’ financially, in case he’s not here, but she said: ‘We certainly aren’t discussing funerals or anything like that, though. We are just not in that space.’

Lorna’s celebrity friends and fans have today flooded the comments on her post announcing John’s death with heartfelt tributes. 

Molly-Mae Hague penned: ‘Heartbroken for you. Rest in peace John. I am so beyond sorry for your loss.’

Charlotte Dawson penned: ‘Sending so much love im so so so so sorry. Your love story will always be so special and beautiful. Thinking of you so much darling.’

Jess Wright added: ‘I’m so so sorry Lorna you have been so brave sharing your journey. And John always looked so smiley & positive  sending you so so much love, light & strength at this time x x x x x.’ 

‘I love you my darling and I’m so sorry. We are all here ,’ Rochelle Humes added. 

Dani Dyer wrote: ‘Oh Lorna I’m so so sorry thinking of you so so much.’ 

Karren Brady commented: ‘I am so sorry for your loss I hope all your wonderful memories together brings you some comfort during this sad time x.’

The couple remained positive and upbeat throughout, despite the health battles he endured. 

Just a week ago, Lorna said that John was ‘extremely unwell’ and that she ‘couldn’t be away from his side’.

The businesswoman took to her Instagram Story to say she was ‘so sorry’ to cancel a charity event which was to raise money for Maggie’s – a cancer charity.

Lorna and John were child-free by choice, but the influencer has admitted she did try for a baby in her 20s. However, nothing happened.

She has been incredibly honest about her struggles with anorexia and bulimia – which she battled in her 30s, and from age 35 onwards she’s been focused on her career, admitting she would have struggled to do both. 

Lorna admitted: ‘I did think recently: “What if?” – and people did say to me: “You can still do it.” 

‘But it’s less about what I can do or I want, and more how that would that fit into my life.

‘I’m going through so much with John that it would feel like a selfish move to have a baby, because I do think I’d struggle, especially if I didn’t have John around.’

In 2014, Lorna and John were so convinced she would make it as an influencer that they put themselves into £300,000 of debt by buying designer clothes and travelling – significantly more than the £50,000 she estimated she had racked up when discussing it on a recent podcast. 

Lorna, who was living with John in the famous £2.5million Ghost House in Warwickshire, can now command up to £80,000 for one brand deal, but she knows she could struggle if it all went wrong tomorrow.

Joking that she’s ‘basically skint’, Lorna plugged her £600,000 profits from her successful L.A. Space brand back into the business and revealed plans to branch out into the beauty market in the next 12 months.
