You Can Now Rent The Heated Rivalry Cottage On Airbnb For Maximum Yearning & Horniness

In news that feels too good to be true, you will soon be able to book the famed cottage from Heated Rivalry on Airbnb. Hopefully a surprise visit from Shane’s parents won’t be included.
Airbnb revealed the new listing in a press statement on Tuesday, fulfilling our fanfic fantasies by confirming the picturesque property will be open for short-term stays early next month.
ICYMI, the cottage played a major role in the love story of Heated Rivalry’s Shane (played by Hudson Williams) and Ilya (Connor Storrie) during the debut season of the show, culminating in the finale where it is home to their first confession of love.
It’s also the site where the extremely horny pair are caught in the act, but Airbnb’s listing makes no mention of ‘keeping it in your pants to avoid any peering eyes.’
The Barlochan cottage is located on Lake Muskoka in Ontario, Canada, and boasts three bathrooms and three bedrooms, meaning there’s plenty of space to *recreate* the show for any guest lucky enough to nab a spot.
It will be available to rent on March 4 for $248.10 CAD ($256 AUD) per night. The price is believed to be a reference to Shane and Ilya’s ice hockey jersey numbers in the show, 24 and 81 — because even money-hungry corporations have a sweet spot!

While applications to book the cottage — which also has a private home gym and lake views — begin early next month, Airbnb will first host early access stays across three weekends in April. After that, it’ll be open for regular bookings, so go ahead and lock in those flights!
It might get a little competitive though, since Airbnb said searches for rentals in Muskoka have increased by 40 per cent after Heated Rivalry put it on the map. Which is understandable given the global cultural phenomenon it spawned, stretching all the way from Letterboxd to the literal Olympics.

It’s not the first time Airbnb has opened famous properties for us normies. In 2022, fantasy fans were given the chance to stay in Hobbiton from the Lord of the Rings franchise, and it also opened the doors of a palatial home featured in season three of The White Lotus.
If timed right, that means you could’ve hung out with Bilbo Baggins in New Zealand before avoiding murder in a Thai villa and coming out to your parents in Lake Muskoka. Talk about a life-changing holiday!
Anyway, Airbnb’s listing now means we finally have an answer to the question that’s been top of mind for yearners across the globe: “Will you come to my cottage this summer?”
