As the first real hint of spring begins to unfurl – is that actual sunshine I can see through the window? – the urge to refresh your interiors after the long, dark days of winter may start stirring.
Suddenly, a dark, moody palette and the heavy throws and bedding of winter feel out of sync, and instead a fresher mood is on the way. Marks & Spencer seems to have captured this perfectly with their latest homeware drop, which has got me coveting bright white bedding, delicate cushions and playful wooden accessories to lighten up my home for the season ahead.
In a landscape where homeware can sometimes feel overly trend-driven or intimidatingly expensive, M&S strikes a good balance: items that are stylish but practical and liveable, and all at reasonable prices. By avoiding anything too obviously on-trend, the range is appealing to those who seek homeware that will age gracefully with their interiors, rather than feel dated by the next season.
My favourite pieces include the beautiful, curved floor lamp with marble base (I can just picture this working perfectly in a reading nook) and the extremely pretty pillowcases with bows tied down the side.
In short, M&S’s spring homeware drop is well worth a browse – whether you’re looking to refresh a single corner of your space or give an entire room a breath of fresh air. Here are some of my favourites pieces…
