
A man has been seriously injured following a gas bottle explosion in Western Sydney.
NSW Ambulance said the male, in his 50s, suffered injuries to his face and legs on Grevillea Road, Chester Hill just before 12.30pm on Monday.
‘He had facial injuries as well serious shrapnel wounds on his legs,’ the spokesman said.
Four ambulance crews were on scene including an aeromedical team with critical care paramedics.
He was transported to Royal North Shore Hospital and in a serious but stable condition.
The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
