The US Federal Aviation Administration has issued a ground stop for all planes at the airport, according to a notice from the regulator.

The plane involved in the collision is a 20-year-old CRJ-900LR being operated by Jazz Aviation, Air Canada’s regional partner. Jazz’s CRJ-900 planes can seat up to 76 passengers, according to Air Canada’s website. NBC News reported that 76 passengers and four crew members were on board.
According to CNN, LaGuardia warned earlier of flight disruptions due to the weather, with light rain and fog in the area.
