Terrifying moment male intruder breaks into Annie Knight’s Gold Coast home wielding a HAMMER: ‘He was crawling on the ground in a surgical mask and gloves’

Annie Knight has detailed the ‘nightmare’ moment she discovered a man had broken into her backyard wielding a hammer.

On December 12 at 12:01am, security footage captured a man crawling on the ground near her back steps.

Annie, 29, tells Daily Mail the intruder was dressed in all black and wore a surgical mask and disposable gloves.

‘I was lying in bed around 7am. I’m such a heavy sleeper that we had slept through the alarm going off, which was crazy,’ says Annie, who lives with her fiancé Henry Brayshaw.

‘Henry was out in the kitchen when I saw a notification: “Intruder alert.” I immediately thought, “Oh, it’s probably just an animal or something.”

‘So I watched the footage, and I’m seeing someone crawling across the ground. My brain was trying to make sense of it.’

Annie says she initially believed it was her neighbour’s dog before she made a haunting realisation: ‘There is a man with a mask crawling across my outdoor patio.’

She continues to say: ‘My heart sank. I was shaking, full-body shakes, pure panic.

‘I just sprinted out of the bedroom, screaming to Henry, “Henry! Henry! Someone tried to break in! Someone tried to break in!”

‘It was as if it was happening in that very moment, but I was just so freaked out by the thought of it. I didn’t know what to do; I was almost paralysed. I couldn’t do anything.’

Annie says her fiancé immediately jumped into action, reassuring Annie as they called the police and their security company.

‘I had to file a police report online, and then I got a phone call. They said, “We’ll send forensics out,”‘ Annie explains.

‘We were like, “Okay.” You know, we don’t know who this person is, they tried to break in, and we were just a bit scared. The police officer took it very seriously.’

Unfortunately, the sex worker says the police report went nowhere as the forensics team was unable to lift any fingerprints from the hammer.

How should public figures protect their privacy without sacrificing their personal freedom at home?

‘He was wearing gloves, shoes, a cap, and a face mask. So, there was just no way of identifying him,’ she adds.

‘There were some footprints, but not enough to really do anything. It’s not like he committed a murder or something. Unfortunately, there’s nothing they could do.’

She continues: ‘The scary part about it is that we think it was a targeted attack on me, specifically, given that I’m in the public eye.’

Annie went on to reveal the man ‘crawled straight past my mum’s car’, which was parked in her driveway, and entered Annie’s backyard from her neighbour’s property.

‘That was a huge red flag for us. We found a hammer that the suspect had dropped at the back of the house,’ adds Annie.

‘We don’t know if they had planned to crack a window or crack our skulls open with it, but we’re just super grateful for our security system.

‘I barely slept for about a week after that; we were really rattled.

‘I remember going outside, even just to do the garden or by the pool, and any tiny noise would make me jump. Even inside the house, I’d hear a slight noise and jump.’

Annie goes on to say she was ‘so on edge for so long’ following the incident, and that her OnlyFans career ‘comes with so many dangers’.

‘The fact that this happened to me, given how much I protect my privacy and how little I share about my location online, is really scary,’ she adds.

‘I see so many creators online posting literally their entire house in the background of a video or photo, and it makes me so scared for them.

‘I don’t know why people aren’t more fearful of stuff like this happening, because it does happen.

‘All it takes is for one deranged person to feel like they can just rock up at your house.’

‘With the internet these days, it’s honestly scary to think how easy it can be for people to find you, which is why I don’t post my house anywhere,’ she adds.

Annie says she and her partner Henry, who is the son of AFL commentator James Brayshaw, are constantly heckled and harassed outside of their home.

‘Leaving the house sometimes becomes arduous, so coming back home is our sanctuary. This is where we feel safe and can get away from everyone,’ she says.

‘To have someone show up at our house and try to violate that safety and privacy was just a horrific feeling,’ she continues.

Annie says she has since upgraded her security system, and even hired a security guard to patrol her home for a few nights following the break-in.

‘The police report was filed, and then our security guy came over. He went out and bought us even more security measures, like motion sensors,’ she says.

‘He did a patrol of the perimeter and stayed at our house for basically three days straight.

‘Honestly, we couldn’t have slept without him being there… We’ve got cameras everywhere now, motion sensors, you name it, we have it. This is Fort Knox.

‘But I’m just really grateful that as soon as we moved into this house, we got that security system installed. This is exactly why we did it.

‘We don’t know who it was, but we obviously suspect that it was someone targeting the house for whatever reason because they knew that we lived here.’

The OnlyFans model purchased her luxury four-bedroom ‘dream home’ on the Gold Coast for $2.7million last year.

She currently lives there with her partner Henry, with the couple planning to marry in October this year after getting engaged in March 2025.
