A Small Donut Shop Is Currently Under Investigation After Blake Lively’s Publicity Stunt
Blake Lively’s recent surprise appearance at a donut shop in Wilton, Connecticut has caused the business to undergo a health inspection, due to Lively not wearing a hair tie or net while baking on March 30.
In an Instagram Story posted by Lively, she is seen mixing ingredients alongside a sticker that reads: “This is my happy place”.
“Baking with genius food friends and their kitchen mixer the size of a car,” Lively captioned.

According to PEOPLE, a source stated that Lively “was in a really happy mood” during her appearance at the shop, and is close with the business’ owners.
Another photo showed the It Ends With Us actress standing by the freshly-baked goods, with her long hair dangling over the top of them.
Many social media users took to Yelp to review-bomb the shop, Rise Doughnuts, over the incident.
“Is it the practice at this doughnut shop to allow employees handling the food to wear their hair loose and hang a few inches above a tray of doughnuts?” one Yelp reviewer wrote.

“Found a long blonde hair in one of the donuts I purchased. Sent it out for DNA analysis and sure enough it came back positive for a simpering, whimpering egoiste,” wrote another user.
The business’ Yelp is currently being monitored due to unusual activity.
A spokesperson for the Wilton Health Department told TMZ that they have “received complaints” about Lively working sans-hair net, and that Rise Doughnuts is currently “under investigation” over the incident.
Another anonymous source close to Lively also told TMZ that the “so-called complaints are from people” who have never visited Rise Doughnuts.
“Targeting a lovely, small, family-owned business is a new low in the retaliation campaign,” the alleged source said.
‘Donut-gate’ is yet another scandal involving the actress, following her public (and ongoing) legal feud with Justin Baldoni during the filming and production of the 2024 film It Ends With Us.
