A source has lifted the lid on Nina Dobrev and Zac Efron’s hang out, after the pair were spotted yachting in Italy in the wake of Dobrev’s break up with Shaun White.

ICYMI, The Vampire Diaries star and Olympic snowboarder called off their engagement earlier this month, almost one year after White popped the question last October.
Just days after news of the split broke, Dobrev was papped enjoying time on a yacht with Efron in Sardinia, fuelling speculation she had moved on with the High School Musical actor.
Pics of the pair quickly circulated on social media, showing Efron gazing affectionately at the actress alongside fellow stars and yacht guests Miles Teller and Chace Crawford.
But at the risk of crushing all your fanfics, a source has now revealed that despite getting cosy on the Mediterranean sea, Dobrev and Efron are not dating.
“Zac and Nina might be hanging out on a yacht, having fun, getting along but they aren’t dating,” an insider told The Daily Mail.
“They aren’t looking to get together, so the rumours of something more just don’t currently exist,” they added.
Per the source, Dobrev’s yacht excursion was simply a way to “unwind” and “deal with life post-break up”, and not an attempt to rebound with Efron.
“That doesn’t mean she is going to land in Zac’s arms,” the source claimed.
“Zac is a nice guy, and they are friendly and that is all that it is, don’t get your Dofron relationship nicknames out just yet,” they added.
The insider’s claims come as Dobrev and White called it quits after five years together, with sources close to the couple saying the broken engagement was a “mutual decision”.
“It was made with love and a deep respect for one another,” an insider told PEOPLE.
In the wake of the news, fans reacted to a cryptic video shared by Dobrev on TikTok, in which the actress lip synced to an audio about “advice for women trying to fix their man”.
Naturally, it spawned speculation that Dobrev and White’s break up was a tense one, despite reports indicating that the split was nothing but amicable.
“There was no cheating at all during the course of their five-and-a-half-year relationship,” a source told Us Weekly.
“They were very loyal to each other. Any online speculation that suggests otherwise is ridiculous,” they added.
While it seems Dobrev and Efron’s relationship is platonic, their shared pics at least make one thing clear: I need to get myself on a yacht in Italy, stat. If I’m lucky, Efron will join me.
