Aimee Lou Wood Ends Walton Goggins Feud During Met Gala

If you’ve been glued to the never-ending drama between The White LotusAimee Lou Wood and Walton Goggins, you’ll be pleased to know we finally have answers thanks to the Met Gala — and shock horror, they’re actually pretty wholesome.

Let’s catch you up: after playing the world’s most dysfunctional couple on season three of The White Lotus, Aimee Lou Wood and Walton Goggins seemed to take their on-screen chaos off-screen. Fans first noticed the pair had unfollowed each other on Instagram right after the season finale, which in 2025 is basically the digital version of throwing hands.

They didn’t tag each other in their gushing tribute posts, and then fellow castmate Jason Isaacs (who did a lot of stirring the pot during his press run for the show) hinted at “friendships that formed and broke” during filming. Cue the chaos.

The plot thickened when Saturday Night Live aired a sketch poking fun at Wood’s appearance. Goggins called the skit “smashing” on Instagram (since deleted), while Wood called it “mean and unfunny”.

Suddenly, we had a full-blown feud, complete with Goggins abruptly ending an interview when asked about Wood. “I’m not gonna have that conversation,” he told The Times when asked about his relationship with Wood.

But, as of this week, the pair have re-followed each other on Instagram, which in celebrity land is the equivalent of a peace treaty.

Still, at the Met Gala, eagle-eyed fans noticed they kept their distance — Wood posed with Patrick Schwarzenegger, while Goggins did his own thing.

So, what’s the real story? Enter Aimee Lou Wood, who finally addressed the drama on the Met Gala red carpet. In a chat with Entertainment Tonight, she was asked if she’d do a surprise cameo on Goggins’ upcoming SNL episode. Her answer? “Yeah, it would be fun. I loved working with Walton. It was the best thing ever”. No shade, no side-eye-just pure, unfiltered positivity.

She went on to say, “He’s going to be incredible doing SNL. It’s the perfect thing for him to do. It’s going to be hilarious. I’m so excited to see it”. If there’s beef, it’s clearly been left at the buffet table.

As for the SNL drama, Wood kept it real: “I learned people are quite bored and analyse social media way too much, and it also taught me you can say one thing and it turns into this huge… I think I just didn’t realise how… it’s odd. You just can’t really engage too much, it’s very good to learn boundaries”. Honestly, relatable.

She also clarified that the infamous “crying on the street” paparazzi shots weren’t even about SNL: “I wasn’t crying about the SNL skit; I was crying about something completely unrelated. But it all got quite out of control.”

So, there you have it. After weeks of speculation, Instagram sleuthing, and more drama than an actual White Lotus finale, Aimee Lou Wood has officially broken her silence — and it turns out, there’s nothing to see here except mutual respect and a bit of social media fatigue. Move along, folks.
