Joe Scott has been suspended by Air Force amid an investigation into his treatment of cadet-athletes.
Scott took over as coach of the Falcons, which represent the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado, back in 2020.
But on Saturday, the school announced that he has been suspended indefinitely pending an investigation.
Air Force assistant coach Jon Jordan has been appointed interim head coach. ‘No further information is releasable at this time,’ a statement read.
Scott is in the sixth year of his second stint with the team and his overall coaching record with Air Force stands at 97-183.
The school’s announcement came just hours before the Falcons – who are 3-14 this season – host Nevada on Saturday.

According to KRDO in Colorado, Air Force has also canceled all media availability during the game at Clune Arena.
Scott enjoyed a successful first stint in charge between 2001 and 2004. He led Air Force to its first Mountain West title and secured a first NCAA tournament appearance in more than four decades.
He then moved to the University of Denver, where he spent nearly a decade in charge of the Pioneers.
Scott was later an assistant coach for several seasons before returning to Air Force in 2020.
