All the hidden details in Meghan’s trailer you might have missed: From a sweet nod to Lilibet, a glimpse of Archie’s favourite snack (and a surprise cameo from a special family member)

Meghan Markle’s latest cooking show series is on the horizon for this month – as a flower petal, artisanal plate filled trailer dropped on Netflix last night.
But beyond the glamorous glasses of wine and bougie treats on display in the sleek modern California kitchen being used for filming, eagle-eyed viewers have spotted fun details many might have missed on first watch.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, has shared fun insights in the teaser ahead of the season’s August 26 premiere, including a little-known fact about her husband Prince Harry’s aversion to one specific meal.
Elsewhere, she paid homage to her family once again with sweet yet subtle shout outs to both her children Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four.
Another fun cameo in the show – as well as the mother-of-two’s beloved Montecito crew among other famous faces – is one very sweet four-legged pal.
Guests on season two will also include Chrissy Teigan, Tan France and Jay Shetty – along with a flurry of superstars in the culinary realm.
In the one-minute, 27-second teaser, Meghan is seen eating cheese, prepping snacks and drinks with loved ones and pouring plenty of glasses of wine…
A CUTE NOD TO LILIBET
Ever the fan of flowers, Meghan also appeared to pay tribute to her daughter as she sported a dainty midi dress with a belt by Carolina Herrera, priced at US$2,490 (approximately £1,838)

Meghan showed off her designer wardrobe in the second series of her Netflix show, wearing dresses by Carolina Herrera
Ever the fan of flowers, Meghan also appeared to pay tribute to her daughter as she sported a dainty midi dress with a belt by Carolina Herrera, priced at US$2,490 (approximately £1,838).
The white frock’s print astutely featured Lily of the Valley flowers, in what seems to be a sweet nod to her youngest child.
The toddler’s first name is in honour of her late great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname was Lilibet.
It was first used when the young Princess Elizabeth was just a toddler and unable to pronounce her name correctly.
From then on, the term of endearment stuck, and the Queen’s father, King George VI, reportedly used to say: ‘Lilibet is my pride. Margaret is my joy.’
The Queen’s childhood name was also used by her late husband, Prince Philip, who passed away after 73 years of marriage on April 9, 2021. It was reported that this was the name that the Queen signed on the card placed on Philip’s casket.
However, Harry and Meghan revealed that they would be referring to their daughter as Lili – a playful modernisation of the sentimental family name.
It’s also believed that Lilibet’s nickname, Lili, may have been inspired by Meghan’s name of endearment from her mother, Doria Ragland, who would call her ‘Flower’ as a child.
The name Lilibet, or Lili, originates from the Hebrew meaning ‘oath of God’, which is intended to be a reminder of the promise of love and hope in the world.
The late Queen Elizabeth took Harry and Meghan naming their daughter Lilibet as the ‘compliment it was intended to be’, according to the book ‘Elizabeth: An Intimate Portrait’ by Gyles Brandreth.
Mr Brandreth added that the Queen accepted the choice with ‘good grace’.
ARCHIE’S FAVOURITE SWEET TREAT

One of the ‘easy ways to show up lovingly’ suggested by the mother-of-two in the trailer – is making biscuits dolloped with jam

One of the ‘easy ways to show up lovingly’ suggested by the mother-of-two in the trailer – is making biscuits dolloped with jam.
And eagle-eyes fans may have felt a sense of deja vu while watching her get stuck in with the dough, as earlier this year the Duchess dropped her recipe for the ‘thumbprint cookies’ on Instagram.
The post, shared in March, featured sweet cameos from Archie and Lilibet as well as friends Kelly McKee Zajfen and Clare Waight Keller.
‘When making thumbprint cookies at home becomes a family affair!’ she penned in the caption.
‘Thanks @_heartmom_ & @clarewaightkeller for the love and extra set of hands!’
In the promo for season two, Meghan can also be seen wrapping up the cookies in boxes and tying them with ribbon.

Last season featured glimpses of Meghan’s beloved late dog Guy – who sadly passed away shortly after filming.
And this time another family pooch was featured curiously examining a crate of apples – rescue beagle Mama Mia.
The pup, who the Sussexes took home in 2022, was filmed sniffing around the fresh produce.
Mama Mia has also recently been pictured in promo for Meghan’s brand As Ever, taking in a sweet snap of the pet roaming through the contents of her woven bag that was filled with fresh vegetables grown in her garden on Instagram.
Meghan captioned her post: ‘The unofficial quality inspector of this morning’s garden haul.’
The ‘haul’ comprised of broccoli, carrots, corn, red peppers and squash as well as spring onions and an assortment of fresh herbs as Mia buried her face in the produce.
LONGTIME PAL

One of the bigger names guest-starring in the series this month is actress Chrissy Teigen (pictured)

Back in 2014, Chrissy and Meghan were snapped alongside Nina Agdal and Shay Mitchell in New York City as they participated in the DirecTV Beach Bowl at Pier 40
One of the bigger names guest-starring in the series this month is actress Chrissy Teigen.
But while fans may know who she (and her famous hubby John Legend) are – many might not realise that she and Meghan actually go way back.
From working as models together on Deal or No Deal to relying on each other for emotional support during tough times in their lives, it seems the pair are two peas in a pod.
Their closeness was echoed on social media when the presenter, who lives about a two-hour drive from Montecito, shared her joy at being among the circle of ‘jamfluencers’ that received a basket from the Duchess last year.
And it’s no wonder, as the duo have more than just their penchant for food and career starts in common.
Chrissy has praised the former senior royal for being ‘wonderful and so kind’ by reaching out to her with a touching letter when she was going through a tough time.
The model said on the Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen After Show: ‘She’s been so kind to me ever since we connected, she had written to me about baby Jack and loss.
‘She is really wonderful and so kind, and just as kind as everyone says she is. She’s a really wonderful girl.’

It is thought that Chrissy and Meghan’s friendship has grown since she and Prince Harry relocated to California.
Back in 2014, Chrissy and Meghan were snapped alongside Nina Agdal and Shay Mitchell in New York City as they participated in the DirecTV Beach Bowl at Pier 40.
The event gathers A-list celebrities, models and athletes for a competitive game of American football. Meghan and Chrissy can be seen posing and holding a trophy together.
The two also previously worked together as models on the TV game show Deal or No Deal at the start of their careers, showing off briefcases containing prizes for contestants.
Speaking to You Magazine back in 2018, Chrissy said: ‘I am especially a fan of Meghan. I was on Deal or No Deal with her and she was lovely. Now everyone asks me what she was like and I say, “Sorry, no dirt. She’s gorgeous”.’
In the interview, she also revealed that she had pre-ordered the Duchess’ cookbook Together, which contained recipes from women affected by the Grenfell Tower fire.
She added: ‘It’s beautifully done and you can tell how important it is to her. You see how she interacts with people and gets down to eye level with kids.’
Chrissy was asked what Meghan was like on Deal or No Deal by Andy Cohen, to which she responded: ‘Everyone wants a good story, and I’m like, I just remember very quiet and sweet. I got nothing…Really kind, and I don’t say that about anybody.’
At the time, she was also asked about her explosive tell-all chat with Oprah Winfrey in 2021.
The model, who waited before watching the Oprah chat, admitted that it was ‘very eye-opening’.
Chrissy said: ‘I think when I ended up watching it, it was like, ‘Holy s***, this is big.’
‘But I also waited a long time to watch it, so I had already heard so much about it by the time that I got to it. But yeah, it is – I mean, very eye-opening. Very eye-opening.’
Asked whether she had any ‘extra tea’ surrounding Meghan’s interview, Chrissy insisted: ‘Extra tea? Um, no. Honestly, no.
‘She’s been very open about what she’s been open with, and I think honestly her truth has been her truth since the very beginning. So, no, I didn’t get any extra extra.’
LITTLE KNOWN FACT ABOUT PRINCE HARRY

During a conversation with Spanish restauranteur José Ramón Andrés, Meghan revealed a fun insight into 40-year-old Prince Harry’s tastes

Meghan, pictured with her husband during the Invictus Games earlier this year, revealed her husband doesn’t like lobster
Judging by the trailer, this season seems to show the Duchess leaning into fresh produce as she is seen shopping around for fresh fish, attempting to eat a sea urchin and cleaning some shellfish.
However, during a conversation with Spanish restauranteur José Ramón Andrés, Meghan revealed a fun insight into 40-year-old Prince Harry’s tastes.
‘Do you know who doesn’t like lobster?’ she asked her guest. ‘My husband.’
A baffled José jokingly quipped back: ‘And you married him?’
FRIENDS FROM ACROSS THE POND?

The fashion expert has made a name for himself on the American makeover show and has firmly aligned himself as one of the Duchess’s allies, being among the first to follow and like her Instagram comeback
Among the guests stars this season is a friend from across the pond – the Duke of Sussex’s birthplace despite the couple moving away to the US post ‘Megxit’ – Queer Eye’s Tan France, 42.
The fashion expert has made a name for himself on the American makeover show and has firmly aligned himself as one of the Duchess’s allies, being among the first to follow and like her Instagram comeback.
In the teaser, Meghan and Tan can be seen sharing a hug as she gifts the presenter ornate place mats covered in decorative cloth.
‘I’ve got goosebumps!’ the star exclaimed, as he accepted the offering.
AS EVER SHOUTOUT?

In other scenes, Meghan can be seen pouring her guests glasses of wine – indulging everyone from José to fine dining connoisseur Clare Smyth.
And while not confirmed, it’s possible the range is from the Duchess’s very own As Ever range.
She has recently come out with a 2024 Napa Valley Rosé, a follow-up from the company’s debut vintage.
According to the company’s site, it is ‘delicately balanced, with soft notes of stone fruit, a gentle minerality, and a lasting finish’ as well as being ‘reminiscent of the finest Provençal styles, this thoughtfully crafted blend is perfect for summer’s end’.
She launched As Ever earlier this year, releasing the first products in April, which included a range of teas, a raspberry spread, and a limited-edition wildflower honey with honeycomb, amongst other things.
Meghan followed it up with an apricot spread and another honey, and in July, she expanded into the world of alcohol when she dropped her own wine – the 2023 Napa Valley rosé.
Each release has been met with fierce excitement from her fans, and every product has sold out pretty quickly.
The company revealed earlier this month that following the buzz surrounding the 2023 Napa Valley rosé, it will be launching another variant. And it vowed that it will pretty much taste the same as As Ever’s first wine.
‘It marries the same harmony of notes from our first blend and creates an elegant medley of delicate yet memorable flavor,’ reads a press release.
‘You’ll want to clink glasses with friends as the sun sets, toasting to a summer of joy.
‘Barefoot or in sandals, dressed up or dressed down, this rosé may become your favorite accessory for alfresco lunches and dinners at dusk.’
In the release, As Ever listed some of the positive feedback customers had given the company over its first rosé, which included comments like, ’10 out of 10,’ ‘perfect,’ and ‘elevated flavor’.
‘This affirmed all of the love, time and effort our team, and our founder, poured into curating this blend to evoke the sun drenched spirit of Napa Valley, and the breathtaking tenor of the California Coast,’ As Ever added.
‘Thank you for filling our cup. Now it’s time for us to fill your glass! We are pleased to share that our 2024 Napa Valley rosé will be available for purchase next week.’
The brand also posted to Instagram with a series of images showing the new wine resting in beach sand.
It was uploaded alongside a caption that read: ‘Oh, how we love seeing the world through rose colored glasses. Rosé colored glasses? Perhaps even better.
‘Our new vintage of As Ever’s beloved rosé is available next week.
‘Stay tuned for more details and timing.’
As Ever’s first wine went on sale on July 1 and sold out within the hour.
Customers were able to purchase three bottles for $90, six bottles for $159, and 12 bottles for $300.
MEGHAN’S MONTECITO SUPPORT GROUP

Fans and longtime Sussex watchers may spot a selection of familiar faces in the trailer, including many of the Duchess’s Montecito squad – such as series one returner Daniel Martin, who has long worked the with actress-turned-entrepreneur

Guests also include Jamie Kern Lima (right), who Meghan recently interviewed with for her podcast

Also making a cameo is pilates brand owner Heather Dorak, who was also the tenth recipient of Meghan’s jam send-outs – previously under the American Riviera Orchard name
Fans and longtime Sussex watchers may spot a selection of familiar faces in the trailer, including many of the Duchess’s Montecito squad – such as series one returner Daniel Martin, who has long worked the with actress-turned-entrepreneur.
Elsewhere ‘close friend’ Jamie Kern Lima – who appeared on her podcast, Confessions Of A Female Founder, months earlier – also features.
The Duchess told Jamie – who sold her business to L’Oréal for £900million in 2016: ‘I feel like we haven’t talked about our blood type.
‘But yours is probably an A positive like mine, because I was like “Even my blood is over-achieving”.’
Meghan also spoke about her friendship with Oprah Winfrey in the fourth episode of her new Lemonada Media series Confessions Of A Female Founder.
She revealed she received business advice from her ‘mentor and friend’ Winfrey who said she should ‘channel her own essence’ ahead of launching As Ever.
Meghan recalled: ‘She was the one that said, “There are tons of things you can put your name on, but for you and how you like to show up for people, once you figure out how to encapsulate your essence, then you’ll know”.’
Also making a cameo is pilates brand owner Heather Dorak, who was also the tenth recipient of Meghan’s jam send-outs – previously under the American Riviera Orchard name.
The Duchess was pictured smiling with Heather and another friend, Kelly McKee Zajfen, on the slopes of Powder Mountain near Salt Lake City in Utah in February of last year.
Heather also attended Meghan’s royal wedding to Prince Harry at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle in May 2018 with her husband Matt Cohen.
Originally from Texas, she is now based in California where she owns six studios under the Pilates Platinum brand.
Heather was also spotted hiking with Meghan near the royal couple’s £12million mansion in Montecito, California, in May 2023 after they celebrated Prince Archie’s fourth birthday.
She was a regular contributor to Meghan’s now-defunct lifestyle website The Tig, and the pair also appeared together on Meghan’s social media before she took down her accounts in the months before her wedding.
Meghan first attended Heather’s pilates classes while acting in the TV drama Suits, and previously described them as ‘hands down the best thing you can do for your body’.
The fitness aficionado also spoke in Harry and Meghan’s Netflix documentary in December 2022, saying she was proud of the Duchess for persevering despite being turned down for acting roles before she secured her job on Suits.
STYLE INSPIRATION FROM KATE

Meghan wore the same Sézane jumper that Kate Middleton wore in 2023 in her new series of With Love, Meghan

The Duchess of Sussex wore a burgundy version of the cream jumper her sister-in-law wore, which costs £40 more

The Princess of Wales wore the knit jumper and skirt set during her 2023 visit to Nottingham Trent University
In the trailer, the As Ever brand owner has been spotted wearing a very familiar jumper for the second series of her Netflix lifestyle show With Love, Meghan – one that the Princess of Wales wore first.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, donned a burgundy version of a soft ribbed jumper by French It-girl label Sézane that Kate Middleton sported in cream in 2023.
Eagle-eyed royal fans spotted the details of the crew neck jumper, which features a raglan shoulder and five buttons in a row from the wrist to the forearm, and compared it to the knitted co-ord Kate wore during her visit to Nottingham Trent University two years ago.
At the time, the Princess, 43 , was a picture of elegance as she wore the cotton and merino Sami jumper with its matching Naelle midi skirt in an affordable outfit that cost £245 for the set.
She styled the co-ord with pearl earrings from Simone Rocha and suede pumps by Gianvito Rossi.
Meghan’s burgundy version is over £40 more expensive than Kate’s natural-hued jumper at £155, and is sold out in nearly all sizes on the Sézane website.
But the relaxed knit is one of Meghan’s more reasonably priced garments that she wears in the series, with the rest of her wardrobe and accessories amounting to thousands of pounds.
MICHELIN STAR CHEF CAMEO… PLUS OTHER FAMOUS FOODIES

Some serious culinary A-listers also boast this year’s roster on Meghan’s show – including a three Michelin-star chef who also catered the Duchess’s wedding (Clare Smyth pictured right)

Another famous foodie many will have been excited to see is Samin Nosrat – the Iranian-American chef behind the popular 2017 cookbook Salt Fat Acid heat
Some serious culinary A-listers also boast this year’s roster on Meghan’s show – including a three Michelin-star chef who also catered the Duchess’s wedding.
And it seems that her bond with the Sussexes has continued over the years.
In 2021, Clare Smyth spoke about the Duchess’ love of food as she praised the royal for being ‘very tuned into the restaurant world’.
Speaking to the BBC, the Northern Irish chef, who was the first and only female chef to run a restaurant with three Michelin stars in the UK, said: ‘To be awarded three Michelin stars is like winning the World cup or an Olympic medal – its the pinnacle, it’s global recognition.’
Meanwhile the owner of Core restaurant in Notting Hill also revealed: ‘Meghan is really into her food in particular and loves food and is very tuned into restaurants and what happens in our world.’
Speaking about catering for the royal couple’s wedding reception in 2018, Clare added: ‘They approached us to do it and it was so good to be part of the day, something we’ll all remember forever.’
Another famous foodie many will have been excited to see is Samin Nosrat – the Iranian-American chef behind the popular 2017 cookbook Salt Fat Acid heat.
The Duchess of Sussex’s lifestyle show, where she hosts guests in a rented house near her Montecito mansion for privacy reasons, will return later this month – just as Netflix loosened its ties with the Sussexes.
With Love, Meghan was renewed for a second season just as season one was released in March. All the episodes were filmed at the same time, it is understood.
Meghan’s lifestyle show failed to break into Netflix’s top 300 programmes for the first half of 2025 and was even thrashed by multiple seasons of Suits. The numbers watching were ‘dismal’, an insider at the streamer reportedly said.
Meghan has also filmed a Christmas special for broadcast in December, in a potential clash with the Princess of Wales’ annual carol concert at Westminster Abbey.
The first series showed the former Suits star inviting friends and famous guests to a California estate, where she shared cooking, gardening and hosting tips.
But it was panned by many reviewers who called it ‘sensationally absurd and trite’ with the Duchess of Sussex called ‘tone-deaf’ and punting a show that ‘vibrates with vacuous joylessness’.
It has an IMDB rating of 3.2 out of 10 and a 38% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, indicates that the TV show is considered ‘rotten’.
The Sussexes are also working on ‘Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within’ – a documentary about orphaned children in Uganda, where the ‘shadows of the HIV/Aids crisis linger’.
There is also ‘active development’ on other projects with Netflix which ‘span a variety of content genres’, including an adaptation of romantic novel Meet Me At The Lake.
