Appalling new allegations against Minnesota Somali woman who went on TV and claimed she was abducted by ICE

Fresh claims have surfaced about a Somali woman who gained national attention after alleging that immigration officials kidnapped her.

Nasra Ahmed, 23, was detained on January 14 in Minneapolis for ‘assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers or employees’ during an ICE operation, according to Attorney General Pam Bondi.

Ahmed said ICE agents shoved her to the ground during the ordeal, while spewing a racial slur.

But it has since been claimed that she launched an egg at one immigration officer and spat in another’s face.

The 23-year-old is accused of approaching officers during the operation and shouting ‘obscenities’ at them, according to the criminal complaint seen by the Daily Mail.

According to court documents, one officer saw Ahmed raise her arm and ‘make a throwing motion,’ later realizing she had thrown an egg that struck another agent’s leg.

ICE agents then moved to arrest Ahmed, who they say was ‘non-compliant’ and allegedly spat in one of their faces, according to the affidavit.

According to documents, one of the agents filmed the struggle, and per the complaint, another watched the video and claimed she said: ‘I have zero regrets.’

Ahmed’s lawyer called the allegations ‘not true’ in a statement to the Daily Mail, without providing further context.

A video of Ahmed addressing the Minnesota State Capitol press briefing room on January 21 circulated on social media.

Ahmed, seen with bandages, said she was having trouble speaking due to a concussion she alleged was caused by the agents.

The 23-year-old spoke at the conference, expressing pride in being Somali and saying her heritage is more than ‘bananas and rice.’

‘I’m Somali, I’m proud to be Somali,’ she said.

‘To me, being Somali isn’t just eating bananas with rice. It’s very hard to describe what it means to be Somali and what it means to be American.

‘It’s kind of like a cultural fusion, like the bananas and rice.’

Ahmed said she was arrested with another US citizen and claimed federal agents detained her and asked for her ID while pursuing two Somali men.

‘I’ll never forget the fear we had in our hearts that day,’ she said. Ahmed was born in the US and had no prior criminal record.

Bondi posted pictures and names for 15 others who were detained in Minneapolis on Wednesday, following a rise in protests in the wake of the killing of Alex Pretti by Border Patrol agents.

‘I am on the ground in Minneapolis today. Federal agents have arrested 16 Minnesota rioters for allegedly assaulting federal law enforcement – people who have been resisting and impeding our federal law enforcement agents,’ she wrote.

‘We expect more arrests to come. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: NOTHING will stop President Trump and this Department of Justice from enforcing the law.’
