Apple TV Teases Details On Its Show With Breaking Bad Creator

In what is truly a mid-week delight, Apple TV has revealed that it’s close to revealing what its been brewing up with Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan, and consider me SAT for what’s to come!

On Wednesday (Aus time), the social media divas behind the Apple TV X account shared a cryptic post, teasing all the chaos they’ve built with Gilligan.

“Happiness is Contagious,” it wrote alongside a bright graphic of a petri dish on a bright yellow background.

“From the creator of Breaking Bad,” the text next to the smiley dish read.

Following the cryptic post, the official Apple TV YouTube page shared a countdown to Friday, hinting that a big announcement is on the horizon.

While everything surrounding this little project has been hush-hush, Gilligan has previously opened up about this new project with the streaming giant.

Earlier this year, Deadline reported that Gilligan has reunited with Better Call Saul icon Rhea Seehorn for a sci-fi Apple TV+ series. Per the publication, the duo teased some details about the incoming project at the Writers Guild of America Awards.

“I’m excited for audiences to see Rhea play a very different character than the character she played on Better Call Saul,” the Breaking Bad mastermind told Deadline.

“She plays someone who’s trying very hard to be good. She’s a bit of a damaged hero, but she’s a hero nonetheless. And it’s just a pleasure to work with her because she’s just the best, and she is so sweet and kind and talented. I can’t say enough good about her.”

Alongside those little tidbits of information nuggets, Seehorn said she “can’t for it to come out” and dished on some things we can expect from the new series.

“Some of the stuff that audiences have loved about his writing where it’s really rich characters but also him playing with the idea of tropes and genres and tone, and switching, like injected humor in a very dark moment — in this new show, he pushes that to a limit that was both very thought-provoking and upsetting sometimes, and other times, so, so funny,” Seehorn shared.

“It really swings for the fences. I had so much fun.”

Oh me, oh my. First, the I’m Glad My Mother Died news and now this???? I’m gonna have to clear out my schedule for a date with Apple TV+.
