Ariana Grande fans furious after shock SNUB for Oscars nomination as Wicked: For Good also humiliated with zero mentions

Ariana Grande fans have been left furious after she was snubbed from the Oscars 2026 nominations.
Fans of the singer and actress, 32, were hoping that she would receive a nod in the Best Supporting Actress category for her performance as Glinda in Wicked: For Good.
However, Grande’s name was not called as the nominations for this year’s ceremony were revealed by actors Danielle Brooks and Lewis Pullman on Thursday morning.
Competing for the gong are Elle Fanning for Sentimental Value, Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas for Sentimental Value, Amy Madigan for Weapons, Wunmi Mosaku for Sinners and Teyana Taylor for One Battle After Another.
Furious fans took their disappointment to social media with many claiming Grande was ‘robbed’.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one said: ‘Ariana Grande I’m so sorry the film industry has snubbed you again.’
‘Why was Ariana Grande robbed of her well deserve nominations?’ asked another.
‘WHERE IS ARIANA GRANDE?????’ demanded a third.

Fans were hoping she would acheive a nod in the Best Supporting Actress category
‘Ariana Grande gave a career-defining performance in Wicked: For Good… and the Oscars look the other way,’ continued another.
Wicked: For Good arrived in cinemas in November one year after the first film, Wicked.
The musical, directed by Jon M. Chu, did not receive a single nomination for the Oscars 2026.
Conversely, its predecessor was nominated for an impressive 10 awards at last year’s Oscars including Best Picture, Best Costume Design and Best Film Editing.
Included in those nods was Grande, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress, and her co-star Cynthia Erivo, who was nominated for Best Actress.
Sadly, there was no win for Grande and the Best Supporting Actress 2025 gong was awarded to Zoe Saldana. Mikey Madison scooped the Best Actress accolade.
As of January 20, Wicked: For Good, which is loosely based on the novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, has grossed a worldwide total of $524 million at the box office.

2026 OSCAR NOMINATIONS
Grande was nominated for her work in the sequel at the Critics’ Choice Awards earlier this month.
She and Erivo were also both nominated for their performances at the Golden Globe Awards.
Grande wasn’t alone in being snubbed at the Oscars 2026.
Paul Mescal was also left out of the nominations for his performance in Hamnet, as was Regina Hall’s for her work in One Battle After Another and Miles Caton of Sinners.
Instead, Timothee Chalamet and Leonardo DiCaprio will face off in coveted Best Actor category.
Chalamet, 30, received a nod for Marty Supreme while Dicaprio, 51, earned it for One Battle Another as the A-listers will face off against Ethan Hawke – Blue Moon, Michael B. Jordan, and Wagner Moura – The Secret Agent.
Sinners earned the most Academy Awards nominations in history with 16 including biggest prize of the night Best Picture.
It had broken the record previously shared by 1950’s All About Eve, 1997’s Titanic and 2016’s La La Land.
