The pitcher is set to start on the mound for the Americans on Sunday night as they face the Dominican Republic in a crunch showdown for a spot in the WBC final.
And the 23-year-old certainly dressed for the occasion as he opted for a bold pregame look.
The right-hander, who is dating former LSU gymnast and social media sensation Livvy Dunne, strolled into loanDepot Park in Miami in an electric blue suit.
However, the blazer featured a bizarre design detail with the crisp white collar, contrasting starkly with the deep blue lapels.
Skenes also put his national pride on full display thanks to the small United States flag embroidered on the back of the collar.
