Bears rookie Luther Burden’s girlfriend reveals shocking lie he told her when they started dating

Chicago Bears rookie wide receiver Luther Burden revealed a lie he told his now-girlfriend to ‘test’ her when they went out on their first date.
Burden was one of the most hyped wide receiver prospects to come out of college ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft.
He was a five-star prospect out of high school and turned into an elite product of the University of Missouri before the Bears picked him up in the second round.
But Burden’s now-girlfriend was unaware of what he might become when they first met when they were younger.
A video posted by Rain Drops Media of his girlfriend, Kendall Minglae, revealed how Burden fooled her in their first meeting.
‘He told me he was a bench player when I met him, ’cause I didn’t know nothing about football,’ she said.

‘I was like “what position you play?” He said “the bench.” But he was the No. 1 receiver in the country.
‘I didn’t do my research, so he told me to come to a game and he had like five touchdowns that game.’
The tweet says that Burden and Minglae met in college. However, comments underneath the video claimed the two met in high school.
Moreover, Burden never scored more than two touchdowns in a single game across his three years at Missouri.
It’s been a trying rookie season for Burden, who began the campaign with a hamstring injury and struggled to get acclimated to the NFL.
Still, he managed a modest rookie season for himself as one of four Bears pass catchers to haul in over 650 receiving yards. Burden snagged 652 yards and two touchdowns worth of catches.
In the NFC Wild Card game against the rival Packers, Burden caught three balls for 42 yards as part of a win over Green Bay.
They’ll move on to face the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Divisional round.
