Beau Ryan’s DMs Reportedly Flooded With Reality Stars Wanting To Get On Amazing Race

He’s been a footy star, a funnyman and a TV staple for yonks but nothing has blown up Beau Ryan’s social media quite like hosting The Amazing Race Australia. For one bizarre reason.

Since stepping into the gig, Beau’s Instagram inbox has gone absolutely feral. Friends reckon he’s never had this kind of attention before. From acquaintances dying to do the show.
“He’s been on a lot of shows, but nothing compares to the reaction The Amazing Race has brought him,” one insider told us.
And it’s not just fans clogging his DMs. With the celeb edition of The Amazing Race pulling in names like Gretel Killeen (yep, she’s back on Ten), Melissa Leong swapping kitchens for checkpoints, Ed Kavalee cracking jokes, and Rob Mills throwing it back to his Network Ten roots, Beau has suddenly become one of the hottest contacts in TV.

“Beau’s DMs are hilarious,” a mate revealed. “Every D-grade reality star under the sun thinks he can get them a spot on the show.”
From Survivor to MAFS, Big Brother to Australian Idol, hopefuls are low-key begging Beau to put in a good word with casting. But according to insiders, he’s quick to shut it down.
“He has no control over who’s cast but people don’t seem to realise that,” the source said. “For some, their messages just end up in the unread graveyard of his socials.”
Honestly, it makes sense. The Amazing Race has become the ultimate playground for TV personalities trying to revive their careers or prove they’ve still got it. Even Grant Denyer once admitted it was “the toughest reality show” he’s ever done and he’s literally survived I’m A Celeb and Dancing With The Stars.
For Beau though, the chaos is all part of the fun.
“He gets a laugh out of it,” another insider added. “The race really does start long before the cameras roll and in Beau’s DMs, it’s chaos.”
It comes after the host talked off rumours of the cast’s astronomical salaries.
“We don’t have to pay them as much as a lot of people think,” Ryan said on Triple M Breakfast with Beau, Cat and Woodsy, adding that rumours around their paydays are a case of “he said, she said”.
