Boy, 17, filmed SMIRKING as he was arrested for shooting boy, 14, dead after rivalry football game gets life without parole

A teenage shooter who smirked while being arrested for gunning down a younger student after a high school football game will spend the rest of his life in prison.
Kaomarion Kendrick, then 17, shot and killed Emmanuel Dorsey, 14, during a fight after a highly-anticipated game at Griffin Memorial Stadium in Griffin, Georgia, on September 30, 2023.
More than two years later he has been convicted of a slew of charges, including felony murder and three counts of violation of the RICO Act.
A judge ruled last week that Kendrick will serve a life sentence without the possibility of parole followed by an additional 85 years in prison.
Dorsey’s grieving mother Charlotte Williams told the Daily Mail that she can finally sleep at night knowing her son’s killer has learned his fate – but that she also feels sorry for him.
‘I think it’s fair,’ Williams said.
‘But my heart just goes out to [Kendrick] because he messed up his entire life by not thinking about what he was doing at the time.’
‘He’s so young and don’t have no one there for him.’

‘Of course I think about my child, I love my child. But I think about kids and what happens to them.’
Police said at the time that the shooting was not random. Both teens attended Griffin High School.
An altercation broke out after the game between two rival gangs when Kendrick pulled out his gun, 11 Alive reported.
Neither Kendrick nor Dorsey was a gang member, according to authorities, but the others involved reportedly were.
Everyone scattered at the sight of the deadly weapon. Dorsey was shot in the neck and face as he ran off.
Investigators said the two teens were acquainted, but Williams said that Kendrick ‘didn’t know my son.’
‘An altercation broke out and my son was just in line of fire,’ she explained to the Daily Mail.
In the aftermath of the chaos, Kendrick was on the run for more than a week before police tracked him down to a Henry County neighborhood.
He was found sitting in a car in the driveway of a residence.

Kendrick flashed an unsettling smile as he was escorted in cuffs into the police car. He wore a similarly eerie grin in his initial mugshot.
‘I am incredibly proud of our office for bringing justice to this defendant and perhaps some degree of closure and comfort for Mr Dorsey’s family,’ Acting District Attorney David Studdard said in a statement.
‘My personal message is that my office will relentlessly pursue those who commit violent crimes in our community and will bring them to justice.’
While Williams expressed grace for Kendrick, she admitted that ‘it’s best to get people like that off the street.’
‘You know, people who think they can just carry a weapon around and not knowing how or when to use it,’ she explained.
She said that sentencing brought peace to her family and that Dorsey’s four siblings seem ‘more happy now that they know the person who did this got punished.’
Williams said she deals with the unimaginable loss by cherishing all the good times she spent with Dorsey.
‘He loved pulling jokes on people – especially me, anyway – he used to get me all the time,’ she said.
‘He was so full of energy and life – he just loved his life. He would walk into a room and it would just light up.’
