The Beckham family publicly extended olive branches to Brooklyn Beckham earlier this week by sharing Instagram Stories to celebrate his 27th birthday. Cute, right?
Well, it was not very well received, I can tell you that!
Victoria, 51, David, 50, and his brothers Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 21, all made individual IG Stories as if nothing was wrong, and apparently it went down like a lead balloon.
An insider told ET that the social media chef did not appreciate the “performative posts” one bit.
“Brooklyn and Nicola are disheartened they chose to make public Instagram posts for his birthday,” the source disclosed.
“These are the exact type of performative public actions that Brooklyn has been trying to put an end to, to no avail.
“Last summer they issued a legal letter to his parents requesting that any correspondence go through lawyers.”
Brooklyn spent his birthday celebrating with his wife, Nicola, 31, who posted a video of her hubby blowing out candles on a box of donuts.

“Happy birthday baby… I hope all your dreams and wishes come true!” she wrote. “You light up every room you walk into and anyone who knows you loves you… you’re the most special human and I love being your wife. I love you I love you I love you.”
He jumped onto Insta to thank Nicola for the treats and her birthday post, writing: “I love you baby girl”. This was presumably when he clocked the influx of “performative” IG Stories from his relos and called in the lawyers.
It comes after reports that Brooklyn previously told David and Victoria they were only to contact him through his legal team. Then, after Victoria ignored his wishes and liked a video shared by Brooklyn, he unleashed that earth-stopping six-page rant.
At the time, a source claimed “the decision was made by Brooklyn after constant attempts to set boundaries had been ignored”, and said Nicola “will always support his decisions” and would back him “if one day Brooklyn wants to see his family”.
So, does this mean we can expect another incoming rant? Brooklyn notifications on, everyone!
