The Cleveland Browns have named Shedeur Sanders as their starting quarterback for their game against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
Sanders was handed his first start for the Browns on the weekend and put on a show as he helped guide the team to a 24-10 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders.
Now, after impressing with a 209-yard passing day including one touchdown, Sanders is set to keep his spot for the game at Huntington Bank Field this weekend.
It comes as a major boost for the NFL rookie given the availability of fellow signal caller Dillon Gabriel, who has been cleared of concussion protocol.
Sanders stepped in for Gabriel after he suffered an injury against the Baltimore Ravens earlier in the month and many wondered who would start once the latter returned from injury.
