Buffalo Bills star knocked out cold after sickening helmet-to-helmet collision within seconds of NFL playoff game

Buffalo Bills linebacker Dorian Williams has been ruled out of his team’s AFC Divisional round playoff game against the Denver Broncos after taking a rough hit to the head.
On the opening kickoff of the game, Williams went to tackle return man Marvin Mims.
Mims and Williams collided head-to-head, with the linebacker almost instantly taking up a ‘fencing position’ as an indicator of possible head trauma.
Williams was laid out cold on the ground as staff tended to him and his ailment. Eventually, he was able to get up and walk off the field under his own power.
After the injury, the Bills ruled him out for the rest of the game with an injury to his neck.
At the start of the second half, CBS Sports’ Tracy Wolfson reported that Williams was carted into the locker room to get imaging done on his neck.
Wolfson added that Williams walked into an ambulance under his own power before being transported to an area hospital.
The banged-up Bills can hardly afford to lose yet another player – especially on defense.
Ahead of Saturday’s game, 19 Bills players were listed on the team’s injury report.
That includes linebacker Terrel Bernard as well as defensive players Jordan Phillips, Jordan Poyer, Phidarian Mathis, Maxwell Hairston, Damar Hamlin, Landon Jackson, Dorian Strong, Michael Hoecht, Taylor Rapp, DeWayne Carter and Wande Owens.
