Interior design enthusiasts and thrifty shoppers alike rushed to buy Tesco’s viral F&F 3 in 1 ottoman chair – a steal at £35 – after it sold out across online stores.
But while the affordable multi-use stool is not longer available, there are now countless alternatives for the original, which was so popular that stocks ran dry in record time.
When it returned in August, excitement spilled out onto social media with one video announcing its return gathering 6.5 million views and hundreds of comments in just two days.
But the restock didn’t last long, with the ottoman no longer available to buy. Customers needn’t worry though, as dozens of stylish aficionados have now shared alternatives on TikTok.
The original Tesco variant could also be used for storage, as a footstool or by lifting and swapping the lid around to turn it into a backrest.
However, while many are weathering the disappointment of it no longer being in stock, a handful of options offer the same useful features, teamed with an aesthetically pleasing flare.
Writing beneath a video showcasing the F&F seat, one person wrote: ‘They had these in TK Max in much nicer colours.’
Another shopper had spotted a similar version on the high street, commenting: ‘I’ve just bought a black one from Dunelm for £40 I believe and have also used it for nappies and wipes.’
‘If you want a longer/bigger version, mine is from Argos,’ a third offered. ‘And it has the storage underneath.’
