Carson Beck magic leads Miami Hurricanes to college football final showdown after Fiesta Bowl thriller

The Miami Hurricanes booked their place in the CFP National Championship Game after overcoming Ole Miss Rebels in dramatic fashion at Thursday’s Fiesta Bowl.

The Hurricanes left it late to seal a 31-27 win over the Rebels in Glendale, Arizona and did so thanks to a touchdown from quarterback Carson Beck in the final moments.

With Miami trailing by three points and just 18 seconds left in the game, Beck received the snap, on 2nd-and-goal, before driving into the end zone to spark wild scenes.

The win over Ole Miss means that Miami will head to their home stadium, the Hard Rock Stadium, for the CHP National Championship game on January 19th.

They will face either the Indiana Hoosiers or the Oregon Ducks, who are set for a showdown at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia on Friday night.

It marks a momentous occasion in Miami’s history as they looked to end a national title drought that stretches back to the 2001 season.
