Yes, it sucks that The Amazing Race Australia has been put on hold for 2026, but no, Beau Ryan is absolutely not being shoved into the TV wilderness. In fact, insiders have told PEDESTRIAN.TV that Channel 10 is already lining up Beau’s next big reality move — and it could land him on one of the most cutthroat shows on TV.
Apparently, bosses were genuinely impressed with how the radio host handled the news about The Amazing Race being shelved (read: no tantrums, no drama, very professional king behaviour), which has helped him score his next gig.
“Beau took it like a pro, and the network’s basically like, ‘Cool, we’re not losing you’,” the source shared.
Because while The Amazing Race might be paused, Beau is still one of 10’s most valuable faces and networks don’t just let those contracts sit around collecting dust. Instead, they redeploy.
And right now, all signs are pointing to The Traitors.
How Beau Ryan could end up on The Traitors
Insiders say Channel 10 has already seen early footage from the upcoming season and the reaction has been enthusiastic. So enthusiastic that conversations are already happening about locking in another season not long after, which is where Beau enters the chat.
“They’ve done this before,” the insider explained. “When a big hosting gig gets paused, networks often slide their talent straight into another massive reality franchise.”
And yep, that’s exactly how Beau ended up in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2022. That jungle stint was… intense. And according to people close to Beau, it wasn’t exactly a vibe.
“He found it really confronting,” the source continued. “There’s still some emotion attached to that experience.”
But The Traitors is a totally different game. Less bugs, more brain power.
“This is about strategy, social moves and reading people, and Beau would actually be incredible at that,” they added.

Beau’s career glow-up from footy star to radio fave to full-blown TV personality has basically trained him for reality mind games.
“He knows how to work a room, he knows how to build alliances, and he knows how to entertain,” the insider said. “That’s literally The Traitors in a nutshell.”
There’s also a very practical TV reason behind it all. When a network presses pause on a major show, they still need to make use of the talent they’re paying.
“It happens all the time in TV land,” a casting source told P.TV. “A host gig freezes, so they shift you into a reality format instead. This isn’t a snub or a downgrade, it’s a strategic pivot. Beau is still a key face of the network.”
While 10 reportedly still hopes The Amazing Race could return in 2027, they’re making it clear that Beau isn’t going anywhere in the meantime. And if he does end up playing The Traitors, viewers might finally see a whole new side of him.
“Everyone knows Beau as the fun, lovable guy, but in a strategy game like that? He could shock people,” the source said.
Fans may be annoyed that The Amazing Race has been put on pause, but Beau Ryan’s TV career is very much still in motion. And to be fair, watching him lie, scheme and outplay celebrities might be his best era yet.
