The Daily Show star schools Pam Bondi on free speech

Bondi appeared on a podcast hosted by Katie Miller, wife of top Trump adviser Stephen Miller, on Monday where she vowed to prosecute hate speech on “both sides of the aisle,” saying: “There’s free speech and then there’s hate speech, and there is no place, especially now, especially after what happened to Charlie, in our society…we will absolutely target you, go after you.”

Lydic responded on Tuesday’s show.

Inside Tyler Robinson’s mind: Texts shine new light on Charlie Kirk’s suspected assassin

Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old Utah resident accused of fatally shooting MAGA commentator Charlie Kirk, has been formally charged with aggravated murder.

Authorities said Tuesday that Robinson had left a note for his roommate — who is also claimed to be his romantic partner — under his keyboard implicating himself in Kirk’s murder, and then had a text conversation in which he also said he had committed the crimes.

Robinson is claimed to have told his roommate, who authorities say is biologically male and transitioning to female, that he had planned the crime for more than a week.

In the exchange, Robinson told his roommate that he had “hoped to keep this secret till I died of old age,” and apologized for involving them, according to officials. “If I am able to grab my rifle unseen, I will have left no evidence. Going to attempt to retrieve it again, hopefully they have moved on. I haven’t seen anything about them finding it,” he is claimed to have written.

Robinson also instructed his roommate to delete their texts and avoid speaking to the media, officials say.

Vance says Kirk killed for saying things assassin thought ‘shouldn’t be said’

Vice President JD Vance paid tribute to Charlie Kirk during a speech in Michigan today.

Vance said of the conservative activist: “He felt that the most important American political virtue was to just get out there and talk to our fellow Americans. And I hate to say that a week ago, he was doing what he did best. He was doing what he loved, and an assassin gunned him down for daring to say things that that assassin thought were wrong or shouldn’t be said.”

He added: “I’ll never forget, Charlie, that I would not be here if not for you. He was a good guy. He was a good friend. I mean, all of these people who’ve been involved in TPUSA, it wasn’t just a debate society. It wasn’t just a political organization. It gave these kids a sense of hope and a sense of purpose in often very hostile places. If you were a young conservative, or you were a young Christian and you were worried that a professor might give you a bad grade for being who you were, Charlie’s Turning Point USA gave you a home.”

Both the vice president and President Donald Trump will be speaking at Kirk’s memorial this Sunday in Glendale, Arizona.

Arnold Schwarzenegger shares candid thought on why Charlie Kirk was killed

The Hollywood star and former Republican politician told students at the University of Southern California he was very upset that someone’s life was taken because they have a different opinion.

He attributed the blame for Kirk’s death, suspected to have been committed by Tyler Robinson, to division caused by social media companies, mainstream media and both Democratic and Republican politicians.

Jacob Stolworthy reports on what the former California governor said.

“I started a podcast not too many months ago, and Charlie Kirk was my first guest,” Newsom said.

“He was gracious enough, to not only say yes, he flew out to do it in person. And I spent not just the hour plus, in a very civil conversation with Charlie, I spent time with him after, and we stayed in touch, including my team. Stayed in touch pretty consistently.”

Newsom urged people to show gestures of “civility, one of grace and one of humanity. Common humanity.”

“The fact is, we had that opportunity to engage,” he said.

“It’s absolutely essential that we, in the spirit of this moment, hold ourselves to a higher level of civility and accountability— accountability to the moment we’re in and the consequences of giving in to cynicism and anxiety and fear,” he said.
