Charlie’s Angels And Back To The Future Star Crispin Glover Accused Of Holding ‘Sex Slave Captive’ In New Lawsuit

CONTENT WARNING: This article discusses alleged domestic violence.

Crispin Glover, best known for playing George McFly in Back to the Future, is facing a new civil lawsuit from a woman who alleges he lured her from the UK to Los Angeles, then “held [her] captive and used [her] for sex and free labour … under false pretenses”.

The plaintiff, identified only as Jane Doe in court papers, is described as a 30-year-old former British model who has autism spectrum disorder and associated mood disorders. She claims she first came into contact with Glover on social media back in 2015, when he allegedly made “strange advances” and encouraged her over several years to move to LA so she could work for him as his assistant in the entertainment industry. According to the complaint, the pair eventually met in Dresden, Germany, in 2023, where Glover allegedly showed her several items of Nazi memorabilia from his collection.

The lawsuit says Doe agreed to relocate to Los Angeles in early 2024 after Glover “lured and manipulated” her into abandoning her life in the UK with promises of a place to live and a job as his assistant.

However, once she arrived she alleges she was “essentially at Mr. Glover’s whims”, expected to perform unpaid labour and pressured to act as his “live-in girlfriend/sex slave”.

Doe, who is described in some reports as a practising Muslim, claims that in March 2024 she tried to go to a mosque and was allegedly warned that if she left, she would be locked out of Glover’s home.

When she returned, Doe says she found herself locked out, with her belongings and pet cats still inside, and was told to find another place to live. The complaint alleges that when she tried to re-enter the property to collect her things, Glover “attacked her, grabbing her neck and choking her in a headlock, leaving a visible wound and scar on her neck”.

She further claims he then “made a false police report”, casting her as an “unlawful intruder”, and followed that with what she describes as a “malicious” restraining order application that was later dismissed.

Doe’s suit accuses Glover of battery, fraud, wrongful eviction, malicious prosecution, intentional infliction of emotional distress and violations of California’s Bane Act, a civil rights law dealing with threats and coercion. She says she is still homeless and “emotionally scarred from the traumatic events” with Glover and is asking for a jury trial, damages and coverage of her legal costs and lawyers’ fees.

Glover, 61, has pushed back strongly through his legal team. In a statement provided to Variety, his lawyer said, “Mr Glover denies these baseless allegations in the strongest possible terms. The reality is that on March 2, 2024, Mr Glover was the victim of an unprovoked felony assault by Jane Doe at his Los Angeles residence.

“Mr Glover called LAPD, which came to the scene, investigated, and arrested Jane Doe. These facts are documented by law enforcement records and by the restraining order filed by Mr Glover against Jane Doe at that time. Mr Glover intends to vigorously defend himself and pursue all available relief. He is confident the judicial process will expose this lawsuit as a meritless fabrication.”

The case is in its early stages, and the claims outlined in the lawsuit have not been tested or proven in court.
