Chelsea’s loss last week at Newcastle wasn’t quite crippling to their season, but it certainly didn’t do them any favours as they hunt a Champions League place.

Two games, two wins. That’s what they need.

With Aston Villa breathing down their necks, Chelsea simply can’t afford to drop any points in these last two games. If they do, they can kiss the top five goodbye.

I mean, up until their trip to St. James’ Park, things had been going perfectly as they had won five games on the spin. But it just shows how tight things are that one loss can suddenly change the narrative.

Well, luckily for them, they are facing the worst Manchester United side of the Premier League era, who seem to lose every single week in the top flight.

Also, while Ruben Amorim won’t want to admit it, I’m pretty sure the United players will be more worried about staying fit for Bilbao than getting a result tonight.

They are 16th, they can’t exactly sink much lower.

So yeah, the Blues arguably couldn’t have wished for a better opponent in their last game at Stamford Bridge this season.

I expect it to be a fun night for them, but I am a jinx, so who knows?
