Synopsis
Security forces in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, have recovered the body of a Maoist during an encounter. An AK-47 rifle was also found at the scene. The operation was launched following reports of armed Maoist presence. Intermittent firing occurred between the forces and Maoists. This follows a similar recovery of two Maoist cadres and weapons last month in the same district.
