Christian Horner is unlikely to be giving up living life in the fast lane following his sacking as Red Bull boss – after amassing a fortune of more than £86 million, MailOnline can reveal.
The former F1 chief and his pop star wife Geri own a string of magnificent properties and run a number of profitable businesses away from the track.
The couple’s fabulous wealth is reportedly set to be boosted by another £50 million following Horner’s shock sudden departure from the team he has helped guide to glory during 20 years at the helm.
Insiders told how Horner, who earns more than £9 million-a-year, has a contract which runs to the end of 2030 and lawyers are said to be preparing to thrash out the terms of a settlement.
Once the dust settles, Horner, 51, could be snapped up by rival teams but he may not be in such a hurry with his riches to fall back on and a massive pay day being lined up.
MailOnline can reveal a series of shrewd investments and business moves means the couple will remain in pole position financially whatever the future holds.
Away from the track, Horner and former Spice Girl Geri, 52, enjoy a slower paced lifestyle but have even turned their hobbies into business enterprises.
The couple split their time between a collection of stunning multi-million pound homes with son Monty, eight, Geri’s daughter Bluebell, 19, and Olivia, 11, Christian’s daughter with ex-partner Beverley Allen who tragically died aged 58 last week after battling cancer.
Their main home is a sprawling Grade II-listed Oxfordshire mansion around a 45-minute drive from Red Bull’s team headquarters in Milton Keynes.

Geri is believed to be the driving force behind an equine empire the couple run.
They set up a horse racing company in 2021 and own a string of racehorses – a number of which are named after hits from Geri’s solo pop career.
They include nine-year-old gelding Lift Me Up, It’s Raining Men, Look At Me and Mi Chico Latino.
Latest available accounts for the company jointly owned by the couple show that after a £600,000 spending spree in 2023, the business’ earnings were tripled.
The documents revealed that the couple forked out £137,000 on biological assets, £280,000 on buildings and £187,000 on motor vehicles to take assets held to just under £1million.
Their investment was seen to have paid off with the profit-making company called OMBI showing retained earnings after bills had climbed to £220,000 from £69,000 the year before.
Plans to expand the concern by building a huge £30,000 eight-horse walker to allow the thoroughbreds to be exercised in all weathers didn’t go down well with neighbours.
The couple had previously upset locals who objected when they built their pool and their 14-horse stables.

Despite its healthy books, Horner has told how the enterprise, which could also see their earnings boosted by winnings, was ‘a bit of fun’ and a’ bit of escapism away from the madness of F1′.
The couple, who married in 2015, appeared to live the perfect life before Horner was accused of sexual harassment and coercive, controlling behaviour by a junior female colleague last year.
He denied the allegations and was twice formally cleared of wrongdoing.
The allegations threatened to derail the couple’s idyllic home life which they showed off in social media images.
They highlighted their love for the outdoor country life – which, ironically, they may now have more time to enjoy.
The couple are also believed to own another home in Hertfordshire while Horner bought a swish four bedroom Georgian townhouse in Chelsea in 2012 for £3.75 million.
Geri bought her own detached home in leafy Highgate north London for £4.35million in 2006. The property is now estimated to be worth up to £9 million.

And Horner, who is also thought to have owned a holiday home in Cornwall, is believed to have bought a grand Georgian house in a picturesque Cotswolds market town for his ex wife.
The property, purchased for £1.5 million in 2015, and is now estimated to be worth £2.3 million.
The money has also continued to role in for Geri after her pop career.
In her first three years as a solo artist, her company, Wonderful Productions, reported a £13.1million turnover and she paid herself £8.9million.
After that, her accounts went dormant from 2001 until 2018, before she joined fellow Spice Girls Mel B, Mel C and Emma Bunton for a 13-date stadium tour in 2019 which netted them £4.4million each.
The following year the company was worth £3million and she had paid herself £1million from it in 2020 and £732,000 in 2022.
In 2022, she paid herself £762,240 but last year’s accounts showed losses of £77,994 but held reserves of nearly £1.4million.
Most recent accounts show the company is worth £2.16 million after making nearly £860,000 in the year up to August 2024.

Geri is also working to take her Rosie Frost trilogy to the big screen, after turning to writing in 2007 and publishing of children’s and young adult novels.
Earlier this year it was reported she is in talks with film bosses about a movie adaptation of her books, as a consultant.
Meanwhile last year it was revealed accounts for Red Bull Technology Ltd showed Horner was pocketed a salary of £8.92 in 2023 – an 11 per cent rise on his previous year’s earnings of £8.04million.
It made him the highest paid team principal on the grid.
Horner’s package is almost certain to have risen since then after Max Verstappen won last year’s world championship for the team.
During Horner’s time in charge, Red Bull won eight drivers’ world championships, six constructors’ titles and 124 races and he is estimated to have earned nearly £66 million since 2011 when his salary was £1.34 million.
