Danica Patrick sends blistering message about Jimmy Kimmel’s return to ABC after Charlie Kirk comments
Danica Patrick thinks ‘the clock is ticking’ on Jimmy Kimmel’s time at ABC, even after the network reinstated his show following his suspension for comments about Charlie Kirk.
Kimmel had been suspended since last Wednesday, after the host said that ‘the MAGA gang’ was attempting to portray the suspect in Kirk’s assassination ‘as anything other than one of them’.
Disney, the parent company to ABC, described Kimmel’s comments as ‘ill-timed and thus insensitive’ in announcing his return.
Former IndyCar racer Patrick, a Trump supporter who has been on Kimmel’s show before, celebrated the news that he had been suspended but late Monday said she understands the decision to bring him back.
‘Totally fine,’ she on on Instagram, responding to the latest development. ‘An employer has a choice to hire and fire and run a business.
‘I don’t think he is as funny as he used to be, but that little problem will take care of itself in time. He will either start making real jokes and not stupid distasteful emotional jabs or he won’t.’

‘When I raced I never talked about politics and religion. I understood the unspoken agreement to be PC.
‘All that is ever at play, is money. And you better believe if it’s not flowing, something goes. Clock is ticking again.’
Kimmel has used his platform to attack Trump across the years and last Monday, speaking about Kirk’s death in Utah, he said: ‘We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and with everything they can to score political points from it.
‘In between the finger-pointing, there was grieving on Friday. The White House flew the flags at half-staff, which got some criticism, but on a human level, you can see how hard the president is taking this.’
Kimmel then played a clip of Trump responding to a question about how he was coping with Kirk’s death, before poking fun at the president’s mourning process.
Suspect Tyler Robinson, meanwhile, has been charged with capital murder.
Prosecutors have released a slew of text messages and other evidence that appeared to hint at a motive last week
The 43-year-old Patrick has only recently gotten involved in politics and began campaigning for Donald Trump in the run-up to last year’s election.
She even admitted that before then, she had never even voted before.

Patrick said that Kimmel needs to stop ‘stupid distasteful emotional jabs’ from now on
‘I just want to say I’ve never voted before, but this time around, I have to vote. It’s that important,’ Patrick said last October.
‘The person that runs this country should ultimately be running it very much like a business. I can’t really think of a better businessman than Donald Trump.
‘A guy like that who has been in business as long as he has, he’s gonna go into that room and he’s gonna get stuff done.
‘That’s what we need, a president who is actually going to make changes happen.’
Patrick initially endorsed Robert F. Kennedy, who withdrew from the race to join Trump’s bid to return to the White House.
