Demi Lovato fans horrified after finding out about her ‘sexual assault’ prank from shocking resurfaced tweet

Demi Lovato fans have been left horrified after finding out about her ‘sexual assault’ prank from a shocking resurfaced tweet.

Back in 2018, Demi, now 32, shared a post about hiring a ‘lady of the night’ to ‘surprise’ her bodyguard, Max Lea, in his hotel room.

The former Disney Channel star detailed the encounter during a Q&A on X (formerly Twitter) when she was asked about the ‘funniest prank she ever pulled.’

‘I hired a lady of the night in Vegas and sent her to Max’s hotel room to surprise him,’ Demi wrote in a since-deleted tweet.

‘She walked into his room without permission and grabbed him in his area, and he freaked the f*** out.’

The ‘disgusting’ tweet recently resurfaced on Reddit leaving fans outraged.

‘Weird and gross of her,’ one appalled user wrote.

‘I never heard about this, what the f***?’ someone else shared.

‘Wow. She’s really loud and proud about knowingly facilitating a sexual assault,’ another added.

‘This article is from 2018?! And this is the first time I’ve seen this being discussed? This is disgusting,’ a user shared.

‘That’s… crazy,’ a person wrote.

Someone else shared: ‘Oof. That poor man. What an ugly thing to do to someone.’

Demi’s tweet also sparked fierce backlash at the time – with many arguing that hiring a woman to touch Max without his consent was a form of sexual assault.

Initially, Demi defended herself by tweeting, ‘I swear I could tweet something about craving jelly beans and it would offend someone.’

But, as the furor continued, she urged fans to listen to her song Warrior.

‘Maybe you’ll have more compassion for someone who made a simple mistake,’ she wrote. ‘Of all people, I know about sexual abuse. You don’t have to educate me.’

In May, the Confident singer married songwriter Jordan ‘Jutes’ Lutes in a romantic California ceremony.

Lutes, 34, popped the question to her in December 2023.

The pair, who met in January 2022, also reportedly collaborated on her songs Substance, Happy Ending, and City of Angels.
