Recently self-eliminated I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia 2026 contestant Deni Hines has revealed the real reason she left the show early, and let’s just say we’ve got the scoop… on the poop.
ICYMI, Deni decided to ditch the jungle on week two of I’m A Celeb after a few days of clashing with her campmates and indulging in glorious tucker trials.
Before officially yelling the iconic “I’m a celebrity, get me out of here” phrase, the star revealed to her fellow famous campmates that she wanted to leave because of the long drops and the rice and beans meals, which she was about to have after the Gold team failed to win the head-to-head dinner challenge.
However, after Deni officially danced away from basecamp, MAFS‘ Cyrell Paule claimed that the singer left due to other reasons besides the drop dunnies and sad dinners, even though she said her decision had “nothing to do” with her fellow campers.
“I genuinely don’t think it’s because of the toilet,” Cyrell said before Concetta Caristo and Nath Valvo agreed that the toilet situation could be “one of the reasons” behind her self-elimination.
The real reason why Deni Hines left I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia 2026
In a cheeky post-jungle chat with PEDESTRIAN.TV, Deni slammed Cyrell’s claims, stating the MAFS bride “doesn’t know me from sugar to shit”, before reconfirming it was because she couldn’t chuck a phat bog for two weeks.
“I left because I didn’t shit for two weeks,” Deni said.
“My mum told me that I was always the type of girl — and I’m a Virgo — and I could never use a long drop. When they asked me to do the show, I asked them what the toilet is like on set, and they said a long drop.
“I said I wasn’t raised to shit in a hole. My mother didn’t raise me to shit in a hole.”
Deni went on to add that she needed to be “comfortable” when chucking a deuce and that the whole long drop situation was not ideal, hence her premature departure from the reality TV competition.
“Sitting on a platform with a wooden seat with a black garbage bin underneath me doesn’t make me feel comfortable,” Deni added.
The singer said she had no regrets leaving early, and that being unable to shit for two weeks is “not something you want to play with”.
“Didn’t want to turn it into three weeks. And I didn’t want to turn it into four weeks. I’m very healthy. I do yoga five days a week. I poo every day, and I just didn’t do it in the jungle,” she said.
“It’s not, it’s not healthy not to shit.”
So, in the words of Deni and me, go shit girl!
Reflecting on her time in the jungle, Deni confirmed that rice and beans, as well as porridge, were out for the rest of her life and joked that she went into the confessional to beg for honey.
“I was going into the TikiToki — and they never aired it — and I was like, ‘Oh, look for sexual favours if someone could give me some honey,’” she laughed.
With Deni gone, the vibe in basecamp is definitely going to be different, and as someone who thrives on reality TV drama, she’s going to be missed.
But as someone who also suffers from severe toilet anxiety, I get the reason why she decided to drop out from using the long drops. We will miss ya, Deni!
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 7.30pm, and Sunday at 7pm on 10 and 10plus.
