What is the Multi-Influence Ground Mine?
The MIGM is a sophisticated naval mine developed by DRDO to counter the increasing threat of modern stealth ships. Designed to enhance the Indian Navy’s tactical capabilities, it is capable of detecting various influences such as acoustic, magnetic, and pressure signatures generated by marine vessels. These signatures are essential for tracking and targeting ships, especially those that employ stealth technology to avoid detection.The mine features multiple sensors that work together to capture these different signatures. According to DRDO, the system has been equipped with a built-in electronics setup, which includes Data Acquisition Electronics powered by an ARM Processor.
