Emma Lyon reveals the HUGE change she made after ‘losing my identity’ when she had a baby with cricket star Nathan

Emma Lyon has revealed how she spent the past year recovering after she lost her confidence and identity when she and her cricket star husband Nathan welcomed their daughter into the world.
The former real estate agent turned influencer broke down her 2025 in an Instagram post on Wednesday, branding the year kind and challenging, with ‘euphoric’ highs and ‘challenging’ lows that resulted in ‘plenty of tears’.
‘After having a baby, I honestly felt like I lost myself for a while,’ Lyon wrote.
‘My confidence, my sense of direction, parts of my identity – quietly slipped away.
‘And this year, slowly and gently, I found her again.
‘Not the same version – a stronger, softer, more grounded one.’

Lyon went on to explain that she has shifted her priorities over the last 12 months and has emerged the better for it.
‘There was shedding, letting go of what no longer fit, expectations, old versions of myself,’ she said.
‘I showed up more honestly. I rested when I needed to. I learned to say no without guilt and yes without fear.
‘Learning that growth isn’t always loud… sometimes it’s quiet, uncomfortable, and necessary.’
Emma’s life underwent a big change in July, when she officially launched her new career as an influencer.
She and Nathan have been extremely careful to protect their daughter’s privacy after she was born in September 2023.
The two-year-old’s name remains a mystery.
Secrecy surrounded the pregnancy before the Daily Mail broke the news with exclusive photos and got a simple ‘no comment’ when we asked the bowler if the baby was his.
Lyon and Emma did a great job of keeping their baby under wraps, with Emma appearing to have carefully edited the photos she posted on Instagram, even when she was on the Ashes tour with her husband from July to August last year.
Emma also expertly hid her growing baby bump with a series of clever styling tricks.
She recently shared a heartwarming moment Nathan experienced with their little girl shortly after his Ashes series came to a painful end.
Emma posted a photo of him lying in a hospital bed embracing his young daughter while the team prepared for the Boxing Day Test without him.
The 38-year-old tore his hamstring in the middle of the third Ashes Test at Adelaide Oval.
Emma’s picture showed him hugging their daughter in his hospital bed with the caption ‘My world. Playing doctors with Daddy.’
