Eubank vs Benn 2 live: Fight updates from massive rematch plus undercard results

Not a ton of great work so far in this round, but Benn does fire off some hard shots in the clinch.

Popping jab by Benn, who is still boxing on the front foot. Eubank misses with a few poor left-hand attempts – not for the first time tonight.

But Benn misses badly with a jab as well. He then jettisons a couple of crosses to the body, though, as he rediscovers his timing.

Nice jab by Benn up top, then two more. Now a cross, and he adds more shots! The crowd likes that.

Eubank laughs, but this fight is getting away from him.

We get some scrappy stuff, as Benn smothers his own work.

But he finds his range with a nice cross now! Eubank doesn’t look urgent enough. Is it harder for him to get himself up for this rematch, having won bragging rights in April?

Benn misses with a big one-two then eats a counter uppercut to the body! He laughs it off.

There’s an awkward collision, but Eubank nods as if to say Benn landed – it was hard to see, otherwise.

Benn feints upstairs and slings a cross to the belt line. Eubank comes back well.

Both men miss with wild efforts.

A nervy start to this round. Tons of feinting, very little throwing.

That’s until Benn drives a cross into the mid-section of Eubank. Then they tie up, with Benn landing an uppercut before the ref steps in.

Benn is being more patient than in April but is picking his moments fairly well… Just as I say that, he wings a BIG right overhand and misses!

Another cross to the body of Eubank, who comes back with a quickfire flurry! That draws an “ahhh!” from the crowd.

Piston jab by Benn, but he’s countered on the next effort. Now Eubank is wrestled to his knees.

Benn is doing the more positive work, and his pressure might help him influence the judges.

Again Benn holds the centre of the ring. He misses with a jab, and the rivals grapple briefly.

Decent cross by Eubank. More clinching, as Benn drives Eubank to the corner.

They separate, And Benn just misses with a one-two, before tumbling to the canvas! The referee warns them over this wrestling.

We’re back under way. Counter jab by Eubank. Hard left hook to the body by Benn. He’s still doing all of the forward movement.

Eubank jabs his way off the ropes, but not for long. Benn with a clean jab, then another. More clinching. Left hook almost there for Eubank. Another hard collision from the Britons.

Benn is off-target with a one-two. Good jab to the midriff, though. Now Eubank with a solid jab.

Benn steps in with a good right, then another, and Eubank looks unsettled! He grabs Benn, but after they separate, he looks more confident and lands a double jab and right hand!

Benn overshoots with a cross now. He scores with a right hook to the body at close range but misses with a left hook upstairs.

Here comes Eubank Jr, in a furry white coat, with his father next to him in the same brown coat that he wore in April.

And the crowd goes wild as 50 Cent emerges, singing the song next to Eubank Jr!!

Now it’s the turn of Chris Eubank Jr, 36, who is trying to do the double over his bitter rival.

While April’s showdown was an instant classic, Eubank Jr did enough in the important moments to stay ahead of Benn.

Honestly, there are reasons to believe that Eubank Jr could win even more clearly tonight, but there are also reasons to believe the rematch could be even closer – or favour Benn, in fact.

Eubank Jr struggled with the rehydration clause in April, but he’s looked better at the weight this week. Still, Benn weighed in heavier than Eubank Jr for this second middleweight clash, interestingly.
