Well folks, it’s the time of year when Channel 9 assembles a bunch of chaotic yet infinitely watchable singles for Married At First Sight Australia (MAFS), with the 2026 season of the gloriously unhinged show officially on the horizon.

That’s right, it’s almost time for us to tune in as commitment ceremonies go rogue and dinner parties put everyone at risk of an airborne wine glass, because MAFS’ 13th instalment has been given a flurry of updates ahead of its premiere.
We’ve already gotten wind of a few juicy morsels about the upcoming instalment — mostly in the form of the cast’s rumoured antics — but here’s all the official deets we know ahead of MAFS’ undoubtedly splashy return to screens.

Is there a trailer for MAFS 2026?
After months of being drip-fed intel from insiders, we finally got an official look at MAFS’ 2026 season in mid-October, when Channel 9 debuted the teaser at its annual Upfronts.
If the clip — which hasn’t yet been released to the public — is anything to go by, then season 13 will be the show’s horniest yet. One snippet shows a groom removing a bride’s lingerie with his mouth (!), while another sees a contestant sporting a bunny lingerie number that’s giving Elle Woods’ Halloween costume.
Elsewhere, we see a teary-eyed bride dramatically reject a groom on the altar, while a voiceover teases that contestants will be venturing “outside your comfort zone”.
In a snippet that’s instantly meme-worthy, one bride is seen blindfolded while holding a sign that reads “Kiss me please” (which is giving me at the club), while others promise an array of fiery dinner party confrontations complete with finger-pointing and raised voices.
In other words, it’s *chef’s kiss*, so we’ll be sure to let you know when the official MAFS 2026 trailer drops.
Who is in the cast for MAFS 2026?
Before we get into the soon-to-be newlyweds, it’s been confirmed that our trio of relationship experts — namely John Aiken, Alessandra Rampolla and Mel Schilling — will all be returning for MAFS 2026, proving they have an impressive tolerance for chaos.
Aside from those names, we don’t yet have official confirmation from Channel 9 as to the cast of MAFS’ 13th season, but a rumoured cast was leaked in August. On the groom front, that list included real estate agent Daniel ‘Danny’ Hewitt, tradie-turned entrepreneur Scott McCristal and finance broker Micah ‘Meekz’ Lomu — who reportedly left the experiment in April.
The release of the trailer does little to confirm which names on the leaked cast list will actually appear in season 13, but it’s rumoured that Melbourne woman Rebecca Zukowski and Adelaide socialite Rebecca ‘Bec’ Zacharia will also feature in the cast.
There were also rumours of a same-sex couple intruding midway through the experiment, however that also remains unconfirmed at this stage.
We won’t know for sure who’s in the cast for MAFS 2026 until Channel 9 drops an official list, or until we don our social media sleuth hats and investigate their latest LinkedIn posts when the show starts airing.
When will MAFS 2026 be released?
Speaking of the show airing, we haven’t yet been blessed with an official release date for MAFS 2026, but the signs point to it coming in hot!
The last three instalments of the show have all premiered in late January, which suggests that a similar release date could be on the horizon for season 13.
That puts us just months out from the MAFS 2026 premiere, so start readying the group chats and practicing your ability to scream at the TV, because season 13 will undoubtedly be as utterly fucked as you’re expecting.
