Married At First Sight (MAFS) has officially entered the intruders part of the experiment, and it looks like Gia Fleur and Scott McCristal are already turning on the heat for Joel Moses, despite the 2026 bride being recently reamed for her Dinner Party behaviour.

While a lot of us are still reeling from the Dinner Party and Commitment Ceremony from hell — which saw Brook Crompton leave the experiment for a second time — the show has moved on to intruders week, where we get to see three new couples enter the experiment.
One of the first couples to get MAFS hitched is Joel Moses and Juliette Fava, and their wedding was quite the rollercoaster, with Joel’s “theatric” personality and tight relationship with his mother.
However, it was also a major highlight for the way Gia and Scott kicked up a fuss during the whole shebang.
Before we even met Juliette, Gia was already judging the groom for his out-there personality. She also had a small clash with him as he waited for his bride at the altar ON HIS day.
“I was hoping to see a fairytale, and I feel bad for this girl who’s coming down to this weirdo,” Gia said in a confessional.
“What a dickhead,” Gia said under her breath during the wedding.
But shit really hit the fan at the reception, when Scott wanted in on the drama and was fanging to ask Joel about his last relationship, to which Gia encouraged him to do.
“Hey Joel, what made you want to be a part of this experiment?” Scott yelled at him during the reception.
“I’ve been wanting to fall in love for the last couple of years. I’ve been single for five years, and now — the time is right now,” Joel replied with his new bride nodding.
When asked what he does for work, Joel said he does modelling, to which Gia and Scott replied, “For Kmart or Big W?” — giving us major flashbacks to Brook’s Target comment towards Stella Mickunaite.
The duo continued to ask provocative questions towards the newly-minted groom, this time asking him if Juliette was “What he asked for” and Joel dished out a response that could be clocked as major shade towards Gia.
“I said exotic eyes, I said olive skin or darker, and I don’t see any plastic in that face,” Joel said, which triggered the heck out of Gia and Scott.
“Chill the fuck, Joel. You’re no oil painting, as Brook would say, you’re no panty dropped,” Gia said in confessional, bringing up Brook.
While Gia and Scott were obviously pressed over Joel’s comment about plastic surgery, fans clocked this as major shade towards the controversial bride.
Bec Zacharia and Danny Hewitt also caught wind of Gia’s behaviour, with Bec describing her behaviour as “rude” and attention-seeking.
“She’s as fake as her fucking tits and her teeth,” Bec told producers.
