Fears for schoolchildren after bus hits a truck and flips at busy intersection in Minyip, Victoria

A school bus with children on board has collided with a B-double truck and flipped onto its roof in Victoria’s north-west.
Emergency responders raced to the scene the intersection of Stawell-Warracknabeal and Minyip-Dimboola roads at Minyip shortly before 9am on Thursday.
It’s understood that three children were on board the 22-seater bus at the time.
One child suffered minor injuries.
The female bus driver was trapped in the wreckage. She has suffered serious injuries.
Emergency crews remain at the crash scene.
The B-double that was carrying hay ended up on its side.

Police have launched an investigation the circumstances of the crash.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area and take alternative routes.
Minyip is a small town in Victoria’s Wimmera region, 320km north-west of Melbourne with a population of 525.
