Green gone for a duck!
Wow.
Cam Green is out for a second ball duck. Caught comfortably by Mulder at third slip.
Rabada is on fire and the South Africans have their tail up. They can smell blood.
Steve Smith strolls to the middle. Big period this for Australia. They’ve done so well to get themselves in this position.
Smith block first two ball before driving Rabada back past him for four.
Rabada gets a big cheer for his double wicket over and rightly so. There has been some sensational fast bowling performances in this Test.
Australia 2-28
Rabada removes Khawaja for six
Big wicket on the stroke of tea as Khawaja edges Rabada to Verreynne behind the stumps.
Dangled the bat outside the off stump and got a pretty solid edge.
Two low scores for Khawaja in a disappointing Test. Fascinating to see how he goes in the West Indies ahead of the Ashes. Needs to show he’s still got it with a youngster in Sam Konstas waiting in the wings.
Cam Green is out in the middle, also coming off a low-scoring first innings.
Australia 1-28, lead by 102 runs.
Australia lead by 100 runs
With a Mulder no-ball, Australia now have a triple figure lead before tea on day two of this World Test Championship final.
It’s been excellent batting to navigate through the first 10 overs. South Africa’s frontline quicks are a handful but their depth isn’t quite there. Could be a cash-in afternoon if these two keep putting a high price on their wickets.

How Labuschagne compares to Khawaja
Labuschagne hits a superb cover drive for four off Jansen. Too wide and not enough zip on the ball.
It’s lovely balance from Labuschagne as he makes his way to 15.
An interesting look at the career blow of these two great mates.
Labuschagne (46.55) just pips Khawaja (45.29) in the average stakes. Very different careers but seriously good players in their prime.

Khawaja is off a pair
The left-hander manages a quick single to get off the mark after his 20-ball, 30-minute duck in the first innings.
Both batsmen are showing patience and a desire to let balls go.
Khawaja’s double hundred in Sri Lanka was a beauty but outside of that… it’s been slim pickings.
Last Test score above 100 before that was in June 2023 against England at Edgbaston.

Labuschagne is off the mark
Soft hands from Labuschagne sees him guide a Rabada delivery behind point for a couple of runs.
Beautiful shot. Labuschagne clips one off his hip to the boundary for four. Great intent. Seven off the first over.
South Africa already under pressure. They don’t have long to find their radar.

Cummins snares 300th wicket as South Africa lose 5-12 to be all out 138
Grim stuff from South Africa, who lose 6-44 and 5-12 to be all out for 138, still 74 runs behind Australia’s moderate first innings total.
Pat Cummins has six wickets after Rabada is caught beautifully by Beau Webster on the fence at deep mid-wicket.
That’s an absolute clinic from the Australians to put themselves in a commanding position in this World Test Championship final.
Marnus Labuschagne to get another crack at the top of the order shortly.

South Africa nine down after a run-out
A shambolic half an hour for South Africa as Keshav Maharaj is run out for 7.
Tries to come back for a second run after hitting one into the leg side but Travis Head gets a throw right over the bails for Alex Carey to take.
Great fielding and silly batting.
It won’t be long before Australia are batting.

Cummins hits Rabada
Spicy stuff at Lord’s!
Pat Cummins has welcomed Kagiso Rabada to the crease with a nasty short ball that smacks him on the shoulder.
Then another one banged in short that crashes into Rabada’s grille.
Don’t forget what Rabada said before the Test. In light of him coming back from a drug ban.
“They [Australian players] come at you, and that gets the best out of me,” Rabada said in an interview with SABC Sport. “They have been notorious for that over the years, right? So yeah, let’s see.”
