A change of direction and race plans won’t deter Canberra stables from eyeing off a record away-from-home return when they tackle Monday’s meeting at Nowra.
In fact, the transferred program from Goulburn has seemingly left the national capital in even better shape as they begin the countdown to next Sunday’s feature Community Chest meeting at home.

Apart from the opening two races, Canberra yards are right in the hunt for a big slice of the prize pool. And it’s no surprise one of their latest training arrivals is leading the change.
Only weeks after relocating from Goulburn, Danielle Seib unveils her latest sprint hopeful in a Maiden Handicap over 1200m.
Medeia, a well-touted filly by 2019 Group 1 Doncaster winner Brutal, launches her career behind two soft trials, with form jockey Pierre Boudvillain sticking solid for her debut.
Canberra visitors provide more than half the field, with capable mare Rose Diamond, resuming for the Matthew Kelley stable, likely to go off favourite.
Seib boasts one of the best winning strike-rates around non-metropolitan NSW over the past six weeks.
She has 11 individual winners from her last 35 runners – over 30 per cent – across eight different venues.
Later on the Nowra program, the Seib camp will send out promising mare Holy Hell, third-up over 1400m in a Benchmark 58 Heat of the Rising Star series.
