Harry Styles Just Dropped A Surprise 8-Min Music Video

Sorry mum and dad, Harry Styles has just given his fans the best belated Christmas present in the form of a brand new music video.

The pop superstar surprised his YouTube subscribers on Sunday with the release of an eight-and-a-half-minute-long video for his unreleased song “Forever, Forever” — his first piece of new music in more than three years.

Styles debuted the instrumental piano ballad during his last concert on the Love On Tour in Reggio Emilia, Italy, on July 22, 2023.

Harry Styles’ new music video

The unexpected video — which Styles has yet to promote on social media — begins with his Italian fans gathered outside the stadium before his final show. They’re shown braiding each other’s hair, debating whether he looks better shirtless (obvs) or in dungarees and commiserating over his final performance.

“[There’s] some sadness because it is the last show, then he will disappear,” one fan says.

“We won’t see him dancing on stages anymore,” another adds.

The fans all sing and dance outside the stadium before they’re finally let in and Styles takes to the stage to perform “Forever, Forever” on the piano.

“I wrote this for you,” he says in Italian, because what can’t this man do?

The moving ballad is accompanied by shots of his fans crying in the crowd and ends with a wide shot alongside the text “WE BELONG TOGETHER”.

What does this mean for HS4?

While the final shot could very well be teasing that Styles will soon be releasing a cover of Mariah Carey’s single of the same name, many people have speculated that WE BELONG TOGETHER could be the title of his upcoming fourth studio album.

“Harry Styles is back to heal us from depression — really excited for this new era of his!” one person wrote.

“’We belong together’, which means he’s coming back, which means new tour, which means new music, which means HS4 at midnight,” another commented.

“The concept of Harry coming back next month with his first single called ‘We Belong Together’,” a third predicted.

Let’s not forget that radio host Brendan “Fev” Fevola said in August that a “very, very close confidant” of Styles told him the singer will be heading Down Under in 2026 following the release of his next album.

“I’ve got some hot press,” Fevola said on The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick. “It was word of mouth, straight from a very, very close confidant… He’ll be touring Australia next year. 100 per cent coming to Australia. It’s huge news.”

As for whether the new music video directly has anything to do with HS4, though, some fans have commented that it could simply serve as a farewell to his Harry’s House era rather than the beginning of a new one. Boo.

“Honestly, this feels more like a thank you than a tease. He’s always framed the tour as something shared with the fans,” someone else said.

“The way the message bookends the tour makes it feel so complete,” a different user replied.

Honestly, who knows what Styles has planned for his next era? His last album, Harry’s House, was released in May 2022 and became the biggest album of his career, winning both Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards and British Album of the Year at the Brit Awards.

All eyes will inevitably be on whether he can repeat this success, but for now, let’s just celebrate the fact that his hiatus is (somewhat) over.
