Hollywood icon, 74, who was on Designing Women and Frasier looks unrecognizable as she goes bra-free in LA

This Hollywood stalwart made a rare appearance while alone in the Toluca Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles on Sunday.
The 74-year-old actress suffered a wardrobe malfunction as she went bra-free in a lime green jacket that was open in front.
The Designing Women veteran did not wear a shirt underneath the jacket as she added dark green slacks with a black bag worn crossbody style and beige slip-on sneakers.
The Washington native had on light makeup with her blonde hair pulled back in a pink clip.
The Emmy winner was carrying a coffee mug stamped Kelly Clarkson Show; she was on Clarkson’s talk show in May 2024 to chat up her latest hit series.
Later she added a blue button-down shirt when she walked with her 36-year-old son after they had lunch together at Sweet Salt Cafe.

The synopsis for season five reads: ‘In the aftermath of mistaken and unflattering news reports that she passed away, Deborah Vance (Smart) and Ava (Einbinder) return to Las Vegas more determined than ever to secure Deborah’s legacy as a comedian.’
The show returns on April 9 on HBO Max.
The 10-episode season will debut new episodes weekly, with two new episodes on April 30 and May 7, leading up to the series finale on May 28.

This comes after she showed off her new boyfriend at the 2026 Roundabout Theatre Company Gala in New York.
He is Joe Pacheco, who has played Bart Daley alongside Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon on The Morning Show.
The Boston-based actor has also appeared in Major Crimes, Bent and 100 Code.
They looked happy as they smiled at each other while arm-in-arm.
They wore matching black: she was in a round-neck floor-length gown with ruffles on the waistline, hem and sleeves while he had on a black suit and tie with a crisp white shirt.
The star was married to actor Richard Gilliland for 35 years before his sudden death from a heart condition in 2021.
The couple seems to have been dating since at least late 2024, according to Instagram posts of them together.
And Pacheco has marked his Facebook status as ‘in a relationship.’
In January, she gave a big shoutout to her boyfriend when she accepted her second Golden Globe award for Hacks.

Smart walked the red carpet before the awards with Pacheco before winning Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series.
She thanked ‘Joe’ for being part of the ‘support’ surrounding her.
‘I’m one of the luckiest people in—not this room—in this entire business, and it does not go unappreciated,’ Smart said as she accepted the award.
‘I have the best bosses, I have the best showrunners, I have the best cast, led by the brilliant Hannah Einbinder, and I have… my kids, Joe, I mean, I am just surrounded by so much support,’ she said.

He was 71 at the time of his passing. They share two sons, Connor Gilliland and Forrest Gilliland, 17.
In 2024 Smart called his death ‘such a shock’ when she discussed his ‘unexpected’ passing.
‘Losing your mate of 35 years—I mean, literally half my life I lived with him is just kind of indescribable,’ she said on Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?
‘And it just, you go through this period of thinking it’s just not real,’ she added. ‘It’s just this isn’t real. You know? This just doesn’t make any sense.’

Smart first gained prominence for her leading role as Charlene Frazier Stillfield on the CBS sitcom Designing Women, in which she starred from 1986 to 1991.
She then played Lana Gardner on Frasier (2000–2001) and Regina Newley on Samantha Who? (2007–2009).
Other shows she popped up on were The District (2000–2004), 24 (2006–2007), Harry’s Law (2011), Fargo (2015), Watchmen (2019) and Mare of Easttown (2021).
She also acted in FX’s Legion (2017–2019) and voiced Ann Possible in the Disney Channel animated series Kim Possible (2002–2007).
