I underwent a facelift ahead of my son’s wedding… but it is now being branded as ‘too perfect’

A 56-year-old woman who underwent a facelift ahead of her son’s wedding has revealed how it has since been branded as ‘too perfect’ by a very unexpected source.

After undergoing multiple plastic surgery procedures, Kelly received a shock review from ChatGPT.

According to Dr. Mike Nayak, the plastic surgeon based in St. Louis, Missouri, who performed the surgeries, the AI tool gave the results a 9.5 out of 10 – not because anything was technically wrong, but because the outcome was ‘slightly too perfect.’

Dr. Nayak shared the feedback in a July 26 Instagram post, noting that ChatGPT described the result as ‘masterclass-level facial rejuvenation.’

The AI even guessed that Dr. Nayak had performed the procedures based on the work shown in the before-and-after images.

Kelly, who has worked at Nayak Plastic Surgery for nearly a decade, decided to undergo the surgery ahead of her son’s wedding.

In an interview published with People, she said she first started considering surgery after noticing her neck in photos while dress shopping.

‘I couldn’t see the pretty dress because I was so busy looking at [my neck],’ she told the outlet.

The procedures performed in June included a deep plane facelift, deep neck lift, brow lift, rhinoplasty, fat transfer to her temples, and full-face laser resurfacing.

Though she had previously had fat transfer under her eyes and her stretched earlobes reduced, this was her most comprehensive surgery.

Dr. Nayak said he was particularly nervous operating on Kelly because of her familiarity with the process and potential complications.

‘She has seen every problem I’ve ever had in the recovery process for the last eight or nine years,’ he told People.

Kelly currently works with patients in recovery and says that experience gave her confidence going into the procedure.

‘I had zero fear going into this at all,’ she said. ‘I was super excited.’

While discussing the surgical plan, she and Dr. Nayak decided to add a rhinoplasty, even though Kelly was initially indifferent about changing her nose.

Dr. Nayak reshaped the tip slightly, creating what some patients now ask for as the ‘Kelly’ nose.

Kelly reported an easy recovery and said the experience has helped her better relate to the patients she works with.

‘They know I’ve been through it. So, it does help you understand,’ she said.

Her boyfriend supported her decision to get surgery but didn’t believe it was necessary.

However, after seeing the results, he understood her motivation.

Kelly said her two adult children likely think her updated appearance is ‘cool,’ but they haven’t made a big deal of it.

Kelly is one of several Nayak Plastic Surgery employees who have undergone procedures with Dr. Nayak, often at a reduced rate.

The practice is known for its transparent pricing, and Dr. Nayak currently has a waitlist that extends over a year.
