Three-year-old Trigg Kiser passed away days after being found unresponsive in a backyard pool, according to the Chandler Police Department, per KBTX.
Authorities confirmed on Sunday that the toddler succumbed to his injuries after being hospitalized in critical condition.
Emergency responders were called to a home near Chandler Heights and Cooper Roads last Monday after reports of a possible drowning.
First responders arrived to find lifesaving efforts already underway, with CPR being administered before paramedics took over.
Due to the severity of his condition, Trigg was initially rushed to a nearby hospital, then later airlifted to Phoenix Children’s Hospital for specialized care.
