Word on the street is, Big Brother Australia has pulled a wild move this season and quietly ditched one of its most iconic traditions: there will be zero intruders.

Yep, none. Not one rogue latecomer barging in to ruin alliances, flirt with someone’s crush or stir up fresh carnage.
Will there be intruders on Big Brother Australia 2025?
Multiple production insiders have spilled to us that Network Ten is so obsessed with this year’s cast of 13 housemates that the usual intruder twist has been completely scrapped.
“Every day the housemates are waiting for the big twist,” one insider told PEDESTRIAN.TV. “They all think intruders are coming… but they’re not.”
Basically, the producers didn’t need extra chaos — the housemates are already bonkers enough, including queen bee Holly who producers are keen to keep on the show for as long as poss to bring the spice.
According to network sources, Ten is “genuinely surprised” at how explosive the dynamics have been from day one.
“There’s so much drama, tension and storyline depth already,” one insider said. “Bringing in intruders would water it down. The cast is strong enough to carry the entire season.”
Translation: the current housemates are serving chaos on tap. No additives required.
And there’s a logistical reason too. This year’s season is short, sharp and brutal. Fewer episodes, faster eliminations and only 13 housemates to begin with. There’s literally no space in the edit to parachute in intruders without blowing up the whole structure.
A former Big Brother producer claimed the decision is basically a massive compliment to the contestants.
“You can always tell how well a Big Brother season is going by how many intruders they need to fix the narrative. If they don’t need any? That means the cast is doing the job. This is the first time in Australian history they’ve skipped intruders entirely,” they shared.
Sorry to the almost-intruders who thought they were still in the mix!
We’re told several late-stage casting hopefuls believed they were still on standby to enter the house, but those dreams are officially dead.
“Some were convinced they were on call,” the source claimed. “But we can confirm that is not the case. The door is closed.”
What does this mean for the season? Basically: the OG cast will live and die by their own drama, with no outside help.
