JD Vance Says He Will Host Monday Episode Of ‘The Charlie Kirk Show’: “Join Me As I Pay Tribute To My Friend”

Vice President JD Vance has said he will host today’s episode of The Charlie Kirk Show to honor the late far-right political commentator.

In an X post shared on Sunday evening, Vance said he would be hosting the show to “pay tribute to my friend.” The show will air from 12 p.m. ET on the video-sharing platform Rumble.

Kirk, a conservative influencer and the co-founder of Turning Point USA, died at age 31 after he was shot in the neck from a nearby building during an outdoor debating event last week at Utah Valley University.

Kirk was one of the most prominent political activists and organizers on the far right and had been addressing thousands of college students at the event. Kirk had been asked a question about transgender individuals involved in mass shootings when a single shot was heard, striking him in the neck. About two hours later, Trump announced his death on Truth Social. 22-year-old Utah local Tyler Robinson has been arrested for the shooting.

The Associated Press reported that Robinson’s father recognized his son from the images released by law enforcement and then encouraged his son to turn himself in. A youth pastor helped Robinson surrender to police, the AP reported. FBI Director Kash Patel said that the suspect was taken into custody at 10 p.m. MT on Thursday.

Vance posted a lengthy tribute to Kirk last week on X, describing him in a post as a “great family man” and a “true friend.”
