Keith Urban had an exaggerated reaction when meeting a fan named Nicole, just weeks after his split from Aussie actress Nicole Kidman.

ICYMI, the former power couple announced their separation last month, and while neither party has directly addressed the situation, a fan at Urban’s recent concert in Nashville got us as close to an inside scoop as possible, merely by mentioning her name.
The awkward moment (which now lives on in perpetuity on social media) went down while the singer was interacting with the crowd at Bridgestone Arena, pointing to one concert-goer in particular and asking her name.
The microphone didn’t pick up her initial response, which left Urban confused. “What? I’m not going to like your name? What?” he asked, before the fan replied bluntly, “Nicole”.
Urban took the response in his stride, dramatically falling to the stage floor and taking a moment to himself as the crowd erupted in laughter and applause. He then raised his hands in bemusement, probably regretting not asking the name of literally anyone else in the crowd.
It is the latest update in the ongoing chatter around Urban and Kidman’s split after 19 years of marriage.
In the fallout, there’s been rumours that Urban has moved on with his 25-year-old guitarist Maggie Baugh, reports of a pre-nup clause forbidding Urban from drug and alcohol use, and a supposed soft-launch of the split hinted at by Kidman well before the news broke.
No personal statement has been released by the pair after the news, but my guess is that Urban will refrain from asking fans’ names to spare himself another awkward moment.
