‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Stunning Success On Netflix Captured In A Single Chart

With Oscar nominations and a couple of Golden Globe awards, the KPop Demon Hunters phenomenon is now well and truly established. But even so, the ratings Demon Hunters has put up for Netflix continue to stun.

As Deadline’s Katie Campione noted, the animated movie became Netflix’s most-watched title ever over a six-month period, according to the streamer’s latest What We Watched report.

KPop Demon Hunters amassed 482M views between July and the end of December, but this does not include the 36.7M streams it recorded in the 10 days after its release on June 20, 2025.

In total, the Sony Pictures Animation title has 518.2M views on Netflix. That’s right, more than half-a-billion views in around six months.

To put this into some context, it’s worth looking at how KPop Demon Hunters has performed since Netflix first started publishing views in What We Watched reports from July 2023.

Over that two-and-a-half year period, Demon Hunters has more than double the number of streams of any other title on Netflix.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie was the second biggest film during that time with 241M views. The biggest TV show was Squid Game Season 2 with 220.9M streams.

Below is the chart showing how KPop Demon Hunters is on a summit all of its own.
