Landman star Ali Larter admits she HATES filming bikini scenes ahead of 50th birthday next month

Ali Larter will be celebrating her milestone 50th birthday next month, but she still ‘works really hard’ at maintaining her fit 5ft8in figure in order to shoot bikini scenes in the hit Paramount+ show Landman.

‘I don’t think there’s an actress alive that’s like, “Woo! Got a bikini scene!” Nobody wants to do it,’ the former Ford Model admitted to People on Monday.

‘Those are the hardest for me. I don’t enjoy them. It’s just part of the story that I’m telling, and I’m an actress, so I get on board. But those are definitely my least favorite.’

Larter noted how her character Angela Norris in the Texan oil drama is ‘so physical and loves the spray tans, and the blonde’ so she must ‘stay in shape for this role and all that comes with it.’

‘But no matter what, it’s like, I’ve got to spend all this time fighting off my own insecurities, my own anxiety, to be able to put on that bikini and walk into these scenes,’ the Heroes alum explained.

Larter’s strict fitness routine involves 4:30am morning runs for 30 minutes followed by strength training plus she eats ‘very clean’ with a lot of protein.

‘In the end, anytime you have to put on a bathing suit and walk in front of anybody, it’s really difficult,’ the New Jersey-born, Idaho-based beauty said.

‘When I look around, the sexiest women I know are the women that own it. So part of getting there with Angela is owning it.’

Larter continued: ‘[There’s] no space in my mind for insecurity. I’m not allowing any of that into my space when I play Angela. I wouldn’t be able to do it if I allowed insecurity to creep in.’

Fans of the L’Oréal Paris paid partner will recall her famous whipped-cream bra scene, at age 22, from Brian Robbins’ 1999 football flick Varsity Blues.

Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace’s small-screen adaptation of Christian Wallace’s 2019 Boomtown podcast also stars Billy Bob Thorton, Demi Moore, Sam Elliott, Michelle Randolph and Andy Garcia.

Larter will next compete for the outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series trophy alongside 12 of her Landman castmates at the newly renamed 32nd Actor Awards, which air March 1 on Netflix.
